After proving to his father that he was alive and well (and getting plenty of Stilinski hugs) and making sure that Jack was safely out of town, Stiles changed into something that wasn't his lacrosse uniform and flopped down on his bed. His phone would ring every few minutes but Stiles didn't get up to answer. He knew it was Scott, and that was the last person he wanted to deal with right now. He needed a goddamn break from this whole werewolf thing.

When a knock came on the door Stiles grumbled and told his father that he was fine, hoping he'd leave it at that so Stiles could sleep. The knocking didn't stop, however, and eventually Stiles got up to pull his bedroom door open.

Needless to say the last person he expected to be there was Lydia Martin. Yet there she was, wearing the same outfit she had worn to the game and looking like she had been crying for hours.

Right, so, being kidnapped by the Argents hadn't been in the plans for tonight. Or by Gerard Argent, rather. Stiles hoped Allison or her father would have put a stop to this if they knew. They seemed to be part of the sane branch of the family tree. Then again, Allison hadn't exactly taken her mother's death well...

There was some policy or something at Beacon Hills High that said if a student had been through a traumatic event they had to see the guidance counselor at least once. Stiles knew Lydia had to do it after Peter attacked her and now anybody that had been close to Matt or were there the night he attacked the police station had to go see Ms. Morrell in the guidance office.

Stiles didn't have to go seeing as he wasn't a student there anymore but he figured his father would be more at ease if he went. He had to be here for the lacrosse championship game anyway. He just wanted to get it over and done with before Jack showed up in town tomorrow.

After yesterday, going back to Beacon Hills to attend Lydia's birthday party and try to do some more research of the kanima's murder victims seemed to be a safer and less traumatizing option than cuddling in bed with Derek again. Ugh that was so wrong. Even if it was a shockingly good nap.

Stiles had bought almost a thousand dollars worth of stuff for Lydia for her birthday over the last few weeks, but decided that giving her all of it would have been creepy so he put the best of it in a box so large that he had trouble getting it through the door. Because that wasn't creepy at all.

A giant lizard terrorizing the area didn't stop Beacon Hills from having some sort of party once every few weeks. This time it was a secret rave being held in a warehouse around town, being held by a woman that the Sheriff suspected might have ties to the other kanima victims. Jackson was sure to go and it was decided this would be the perfect time to try to capture both him and his master.

Now if only they could get tickets.

Stiles should have been spending today watching the Godfather marathon on AMC and stuffing his face full of fatty food but, no, he was back in Beacon Hills where it was March. This time it was because Lydia had managed to translate the rest of the kanima's entry in the beastiary and Scott was convinced they would be able to stop Jackson soon.

It was almost laughably easy stealing a prisoner transport van from the police station. Stiles was pretty sure he could have pulled it off even if he wasn't the sheriff's son.

Handcuffing an unconscious Jackson by the wrists and ankles in the back of the van was slightly more difficult, but that was only because Scott wasn't any help. He seemed worried that Jackson would know it was them that kidnapped him for some reason. How would he know, he was knocked out the entire time they were moving him.

"Stiles! McCall! I'M GONNA KILL YOU!"

Okay, maybe he would know who did it.

Stiles hadn't even been home long enough to say hello to his father before Scott called him saying he had to get down to the high school now. Apparently Erica and Isaac had struck during chemistry class and somehow got Lydia to try the kanima venom and nothing happened. Which meant Derek thought she was the kanima and was most likely going to try to kill her.

No way Stiles was going to let that happen. He'd kill Derek first. Or...glare at him really, really hard.

"Come on! Is that thing even a teenager!? I want to see a birth certificate!" Coach Finstock cried. The team was getting pummeled pretty bad, particularly by a huge kid who seemed to enjoy checking all the Beacon Hills players. Coach sat down next to Stiles on the bench. "Who or what is that genetic experiment gone wrong?"

"Eddie Obomawitz," Stiles answered. "They call him the Abomination."

Coach Finstock rolled his eyes. "Oh that's cute."

Yesterday's disastrous date had ended with Allison managing to calm Lydia down and taking her home, leaving Scott and Stiles to go home with each other and both deciding that whatever was up with Lydia had nothing to do with them. Because they were stupid.
