After proving to his father that he was alive and well (and getting plenty of Stilinski hugs) and making sure that Jack was safely out of town, Stiles changed into something that wasn't his lacrosse uniform and flopped down on his bed. His phone would ring every few minutes but Stiles didn't get up to answer. He knew it was Scott, and that was the last person he wanted to deal with right now. He needed a goddamn break from this whole werewolf thing.

When a knock came on the door Stiles grumbled and told his father that he was fine, hoping he'd leave it at that so Stiles could sleep. The knocking didn't stop, however, and eventually Stiles got up to pull his bedroom door open.

Needless to say the last person he expected to be there was Lydia Martin. Yet there she was, wearing the same outfit she had worn to the game and looking like she had been crying for hours.

After yesterday, going back to Beacon Hills to attend Lydia's birthday party and try to do some more research of the kanima's murder victims seemed to be a safer and less traumatizing option than cuddling in bed with Derek again. Ugh that was so wrong. Even if it was a shockingly good nap.

Stiles had bought almost a thousand dollars worth of stuff for Lydia for her birthday over the last few weeks, but decided that giving her all of it would have been creepy so he put the best of it in a box so large that he had trouble getting it through the door. Because that wasn't creepy at all.

As soon as they got into the library, Jackson was complaining. "I can't be in detention, I've got a restraining order against these tools."

"All of these tools?" Harris asked.

Stiles pointed between him and Scott. "Just us tools."

Stiles and Scott agreed to go to the police station immediately and come clean to Sheriff Stilinski about everything. Werewolves, kanimas, hunters, everything. The two of them got buzzed into the Sheriff's office but instead of finding his father alone at his desk, he was in the room with a pissed off man in a suit and...Jackson. Wearing just the Sheriff's coat and the pants Stiles had put on him that morning.

"Scott. Stiles. Perfect timing," the Sheriff said, not sounding amused in the least. "Have you met Jackson's father, Mr. David Whittemore. Esquire."

Jackson gave Scott and Stiles a smug look. "That means lawyer."

So coming home once a week was going to be a thing now. Stiles wasn't happy about it, but he couldn't ignore the Team Mom aspect of his personality and not be there when his friends were putting themselves in danger. Besides Jackson was a lizard now, who wouldn't want to see how that turned out?

Stiles was in the middle of what very might well be the greatest nap of all time when he was woken up by his phone blasting "Hungry Like the Wolf" and suddenly he decided Scott McCall was the worst person ever. To ever exist. Worse than a Kardashian even.

"Mmmph what is it?" Stiles said blearily after he answered. "Also I hate you."
