Derek had wanted a classier date than Denny's tonight and Stiles gave it to him. The classiest unlimited breadsticks in town.

Stiles had been waiting for this date all week, not just because of the food (though he was pretty excited about his chicken parm), but because of inappropriate totally not safe for work things that were going on tonight. Just knowing what was going on in Derek's pants right now was making him all giddy and excitable.

It'd be kind of weird just saying they were on a date for dirty stuff. So Stiles chose to pretend they were celebrating him removing the bandage off his new tattoo. He was wearing short sleeves and no other layers for once and kept glancing down at the French wrapped around his wrist every few minutes.

"But it's so adorable" Derek drawled, looking at him over his menu. "I think you should get two more wolves. And a moon."

"Bite me," he said. "You should get the next tacky tattoo."

"Only if you hold the blowtorch," Derek replied sweetly.

"Oh god I forgot about that," he said. "Never mind, don't do that."

Derek rolled his eyes, but reached over to grab Stiles' hand on the table. "Don't worry. I'd have Cora and Jack do it."

"It was really gross when I saw you do it to Scott," he said. "Other you, I mean."

"Perks of being a werewolf," Derek replied, sitting back and rolling his eyes for real.

"I'd be tattoo-less if I had to go through that to get one," Stiles said. "Werewolf or not. I'd puke."

"You threaten to puke at a lot."

"I have a weak stomach when it comes to gross stuff."

"Picked the wrong life then," Derek replied, looking back at the menu. How much alfredo does anyone need? Really.

"So, uh, how's the thing?" You know. The thing.

Did you want to make Derek turn red, Stiles? Because that's what was happening.

"Fine. It's... fine. I've been using it."

Yep. Think about Derek getting himself acclimated to these things, Stiles. Think about it.

"Are you using it now?" He needed the confirmation. For reasons.

You're the absolute worst, Stiles. "Yes."

Stiles smiled and lifted up his menu over his face. "We're not ordering dessert later."

"Damn right we're not," Derek muttered. But he nudged his foot against Stiles'.

"And you better eat fast too." Notice he did not say 'wolf it down'. Took a lot of willpower.

"We're not having sex in the parking lot," Derek informed him. Right when a deeply embarrassed waiter picked to check on them.

Because their lives. Their lives.

Stiles choked a little before bursting out into what could only be called giggles. "Ready to order?"

Yes, Derek, talk to that waiter now.

Derek glared at him, wishing there was a shadowy corner for him to silently slink backwards into until this went away. But there were none. There were none.

"You can order for me. Dear," he sneered, not making eye contact with the server at all.

Did you want something with absolutely no red meat in it, Derek? 'Cause that's what Stiles ordered for you. You deal with chicken, Derek. Deal with it.

The force of Derek's hatred was all in his eyebrows. He'd just have to get back at Stiles for this later on.

And don't think he won't.

"I'm taking you to a steak house next time." Yes. He made a date into a threat.

"And I'll order you a salad." Nah he wouldn't be that mean.

"I won't blow you anymore."
