Derek had wanted a classier date than Denny's tonight and Stiles gave it to him. The classiest unlimited breadsticks in town.

Stiles had been waiting for this date all week, not just because of the food (though he was pretty excited about his chicken parm), but because of inappropriate totally not safe for work things that were going on tonight. Just knowing what was going on in Derek's pants right now was making him all giddy and excitable.

It'd be kind of weird just saying they were on a date for dirty stuff. So Stiles chose to pretend they were celebrating him removing the bandage off his new tattoo. He was wearing short sleeves and no other layers for once and kept glancing down at the French wrapped around his wrist every few minutes.

The force of Derek's hatred was all in his eyebrows. He'd just have to get back at Stiles for this later on.

And don't think he won't.

"I'm taking you to a steak house next time." Yes. He made a date into a threat.

"And I'll order you a salad." Nah he wouldn't be that mean.

AND THE WAITER WAS BACK WITH DRINKS.

"He's got tourettes," Stiles explained to the waiter.

Did that include hitting his head on the table? Because that's what Derek was doing. "I can't concentrate," he hissed.

"You wanted dinner first." So this was your fault, Derek. All your fault.

[justlurkinghere]

"You're not helping." Why aren't you more helpful? God. What kind of terrible boyfriend prolongs foreplay like this?

[robinonadderall]

"What am I doing?" he asked.

[justlurkinghere]

"Teasing." It was only cool when Derek did it, okay?

[robinonadderall]

"I'm just asking you questions," Stiles said. "I'm being caring."

"Caring? Is that what this is?"

[robinonadderall]

He nodded. "I care about you a whole lot."

[justlurkinghere]

"How much do you care?" Derek. Derek, this was neither the time, nor the place.

"Care enough to forgive you for traumatizing our waiter."

[justlurkinghere]

"I'll leave him a good tip." Which he'd appreciate as he sobbed in the men's room.

"You better," he said. "...and I think he's coming back with our food so try not to mention how much you love my dick in the next thirty seconds."

Derek gave him a sour look, promising so much retribution for this. So, so much.

But thanks to that warning, the waiter escaped unscathed. This time.

"I'm eating the entire basket of bread sticks."

"Thank god they're unlimited," Stiles said. "That's the beauty of Olive Garden."

Ugh, the worst.

"You are enjoying this way too much."

[robinonadderall]

"You embarrassing yourself in front of the waiter? Damn right I'm enjoying it," he said. "I'm just sad nobody else got to see it."

"Next time we'll switch," Derek grumbled. And then looked pleased because that was a nice thought about Stiles.

"We still have to switch on the panties first." 'Cause his pair was in the mail.

[justlurkinghere]

Ignore how Derek's breath picked up at that. Just ignore that.

"Really."

[robinonadderall]

"I said I would, didn't I?" And he was looking forward to it.

[justlurkinghere]

"Yeah, but..."

Also ignore how Derek seemed unable to sit still.
