Stiles really hated the bed in the spare room. Which was sad because it was supposed to be his bed in his room. Ugh. Well he and Derek had a nice...two week streak where they didn't fight. Was that a record?

He attempted to talk yesterday and it failed spectacularly so as far as Stiles was concerned it was Derek's turn to make up. Whenever he felt like it. Stiles, however, would be holing himself up in his room, going over student loan stuff again.

This shit was so confusing.

Because they were both too stubborn for their own good. It was probably one of the traits that attracted them to each other in the first place.

Derek was of the mind that he clearly shouldn't have to be the one to do this. Just because he was older and... stuff. God damn it, he probably needed to apologize. That much he knew after spending the night sullenly in wolf shape.

Because he hadn't wanted to talk to people. Still didn't, really. Which would explain why there was a wolf awkwardly shoving it's nose into the room.

Stiles lifted up his head when he heard the noise, sighing a little when he saw the wolf. You couldn't cute your way out of this, Derek.

Maybe.

He could cute his way out of and into anything he wanted. He was goddamm adorable.

But for now he was just going to slink into the room to stand next to the bed. And look moderately pathetic because emotions in this form were the worst. Everything showed with the ears and the tail.

It really did look super pathetic. "What?"

Derek rested his chin on the bed with a sigh. Yeah, he managed a dramatic sigh as a wolf. What of it?

Stiles was pointedly not looking at that. Because then he'd give in and he refused to give in just because Derek looked fluffy. "You can't just come in here all furry and expect me to not be pissed."

Would it help if Derek stretched over to lick at the scratches on Stiles' arm? Because he was doing that anyway.

Stiles sighed and held out his arm a little to make that easier on Derek. Even if it was super weird.

It helped that Stiles' hand tasted like Cheetos cheese. So.

Once he was satisfied with that, Derek's tail took to wagging in a slow, hopeful fashion as he did the chin on the bed thing again. It was like he lived the dog stereotype when he was like this.

That earned another sigh, but Stiles was moving the papers off of his bed to make room for a giant wolf. "I'm still mad at you."

Yes, Derek was aware of that.

He jumped onto the bed, curling his considerable bulk around Stiles like a weird fur coat. Only then did he let his tail wag again, thumping once on the mattress.

"Happy now?" Stiles asked.

The noise Derek made wasn't really a growl, more of a 'murr' than anything else.

He tensed against Stiles, body ridged before the switch back to human happened. Yes, still curled around Stiles.

That wasn't fair, Derek. With the nakedness and everything. Stiles pointedly did not say anything or even look in Derek's naked direction and instead grabbed the papers again.

You were going to have to use your words, Derek.

"I can change back if you don't want to talk," Derek muttered. Somehow he was more open with emotions when he was canine shaped.

"You're the one that doesn't want to talk." Mr. Turns-into-a-wolf.

He was also adorable like that, okay? Adorable.

"You were avoiding me too."

"I talked to you yesterday." It did not end well.

"I talked back."

No. No, it did not.

"And you were an asshole." He had been one too.

[justlurkinghere]

"And you were a sweetheart."

[robinonadderall]

Stiles really wanted to argue that. Really wanted to, but he couldn't. "Why are you here then?"

"Because I love you," Derek said, making it sound like that was the obvious answer. "Even if you're being willfully stupid."

He wrapped both arms around Stiles' waist before he could flounce.

"Even when I'm overreacting," he added sullenly. "A little bit."

Tiny bit.

"Only a little?" he asked even as he was leaning back into Derek.

"Only a little." They were horrible.
