Stiles didn't know if it was sad or impressive that he managed a whole month at his FBI internship before getting shot. Some might have said that with his luck he might've been shot on the first day.

It hadn't been his finest moment, seeing as it was just a small graze on his foot from a ricochet and he had screamed like he had a whole arm taken off. Oh and he passed out when he saw the blood. That was pretty embarrassing too. Whole thing warranted two stitches and a pass to take the rest of the day off (but was expected back bright and early tomorrow).

He was fine to drive home but of course that whole idea went out the window when he told Derek about the ordeal. Now he was waiting to be picked up, occasionally looking at the windows of the facility to see if his classmates were pointing and laughing at him.

So. Embarrassing.

Because that sounded super fake.

Stiles attempted to squirm away from the poke. “I might.”

He would not.

Which meant Derek had to hold on so he didnt fall over and injure himself again.

"I doubt that. You'd complain for a whole minute. Maybe."

Stiles huffed. “I have some self control when it comes to you.”

"Maybe we should sleep in separate beds the week beforehand," Derek suggested kindly. "Make it special."

“Do you want to do it?” he asked. “Could you manage?”

"I've survived you being here," Derek replied. Like it was totally the same thing.

“We’ve still had sex,” he pointed out. “Totally different.”

"But we're apart for long time." You know. The week days. Five whole days! Well, really four if he got there on Friday. Or three if he left Monday morning.

Stiles huffed. “We’ve never been apart for a long time except when I was possessed by a fox.”

"Don't do that again." Important things. "Should we... spend more time apart?"

“God, no,” he said, cuddling closer to Derek at the thought. “I like the codependent thing.”

Which was good because it sounded awful to Derek. Who had no problem hugging him a little tighter. "Good. I like it too."

“You’re stuck with me,” he said. “Sorry.”

Derek laughed, moving his hands up to guide Stiles in for a kiss. "Oh no."

Stiles happily kissed him back. They were truly disgusting people. It was ridiculous.

They were getting over the terrible trauma of two whole stitches! Which was somehow the worst thing to happen to them in a decent amount of time.

Which was nice.

"Pizza guy is here," Derek muttered, kissing him again before the doorbell rang.
