Since Stiles considered himself a very giving and amiable fiance he agreed to Derek's suggestion of spending a few days before Christmas on a romantic getaway to the woods. Stiles had just stipulated that a) they didn't sleep in a tent b) the cabin had wifi and c) there was a fast food joint that can be driven to in less than twenty minutes.

He didn't think he was asking for a lot, especially considering he was in the wilderness. In December.

Derek moved up to kiss him one more time before leaning away to help with that. Not too much help because he was also busy tugging on Stiles' pants at the same time.

It was weird that they could still be impatient with all the time in the world. There wasn't a whole lot of grace involved in this but he still managed to get Derek's pants undone even with all the kissing.

They were perpetually stuck in the honeymoon phase. Maybe once they actually had a honeymoon, it would ease up?

"Where did you leave the lube?" Derek asked, kissing him once more time before tugging Stiles' pants down to his thighs. Which was as far as he could manage with the position they were in.

Stiles groaned. "You can't expect me to remember things like that."

"I can't?" Derek said with a startled little laugh as he pulled Stiles' legs away from around him so he could finish pulling those pants off. "What are you in charge of then?"

"Buying Christmas underwear," he said. "It's a tough job."

"Uh huh," Derek replied dryly, tossing Stiles' jeans over to the side. "I feel for you. Really."

"Your pants need to be off all the way too." To get that sweet, sweet mutual nudity.

"Find the lube," Derek replied, slapping him gently on the thigh as he pulled away.

Stiles sighed, sitting up so he could look for the lube between the couch cushions. It should had come as no surprise that they had managed to lose it already.

Derek didn't snicker at all at him as he got up to get rid of his pants. Except that he did. "We haven't even been here that long."

"I blame you." Yup all Derek's fault. "You're gonna have to lift up the couch it's way under there."

"You need to plan better next time," Derek said, stretching a little now that he was naked.

"Noted," he said, a little bit distracted by the stretching.

Which really meant Derek was going to grin and keep doing that. Sorry not sorry, Stiles. "Find it yet?"

"...no." Stop being distracting!

"Should I check under the couch?" Derek asked, still smiling as he carefully went to his knees in front of Stiles.

That wasn't distracting, right? Right.

"I think you should, yeah," Stiles said, nodding. He clenched his hands at his side to keep from putting them in Derek's hair.

Derek so helpfully put his hand on Stiles' leg before leaning down to look under the couch. There was no looking for any bottles, but there was a little careful groping.

"Fuck," he murmured, trying to keep still. "Any luck?"

"Nothing yet," Derek said cheerfully. He moved his hand up just a little more like he needed to steady himself.

"Need help?" he asked, giving in and putting a hand in Derek's hair.

Derek hummed at that, looking up to place his other hand on Stiles' leg. "You sure you packed it?"

"I would never forget lube." He was almost offended at the thought!

Derek just gave him a look for that, one that was all judgmental eyebrows.

"So, you just lost it instead."
