Since Stiles considered himself a very giving and amiable fiance he agreed to Derek's suggestion of spending a few days before Christmas on a romantic getaway to the woods. Stiles had just stipulated that a) they didn't sleep in a tent b) the cabin had wifi and c) there was a fast food joint that can be driven to in less than twenty minutes.

Derek hummed at that, looking up to place his other hand on Stiles' leg. "You sure you packed it?"

"I would never forget lube." He was almost offended at the thought!

Derek just gave him a look for that, one that was all judgmental eyebrows.

"So, you just lost it instead."

"I'm telling you, it's under the couch!" Yes, argue whilst naked and hard.

Derek hummed like he believed him, placing his hand between Stiles' legs before looking under the couch again.

Which was still helpful of him, he felt.

"Is groping me helping?" he asked, sounding amused.

"I'm touching the couch." If he was touching Stiles, it was clearly by accident.

"Uh huh," he murmured. "Just find the lube before I make you put on the underwear."

And look at that! The bottle was promptly dropped into Stiles' lap.

"Found it."

Stiles laughed. "Finally found something that motivates you."

He wasn't wrong. "I'll pour cold lube on you."

That just made Stiles laugh even more. Because what kind of threat was that?

Derek sighed, pulling him down for the surliest kiss to silence that laughter. He had so many regrets about this relationship. So, so many.

Stiles kissed him back, wrapping his arms around Derek's neck. He, for one, had no regrets about this relationship at all!

Oh, wonder why he was so happy with himself.

"On the couch or next to the fire?" Cliche sex. Aw yeah.

Stiles smiled. "We have to be super cheesy and do it beside the fire."

"You can play music on your phone," Derek suggested, letting go of him to get a blanket down next to the dire. Because carpet burn wasn't fun. Also, they were going to make a mess.

"I'd rather hear the noises you make," Stiles said, moving closer. "Much more satisfying."

"You're the one who makes noises," Derek replied, pulling him in for a kiss once he was close enough.

Stiles disagreed with that, though he was too busy kissing Derek to really argue that point. "How do you want our firelight sex to go?"

Damn right he was. It was all going to plan.

"You riding me?" Derek suggested.

"I like that idea," he said, kissing Derek again. "Let's hope the blanket prevents rug burn."

"Move slow and we won't have to worry," Derek muttered between kisses.

Like slow was possible for either of them.

"Slow sex by the fire," he murmured. "Totally romantic. Think we can pull it off?"

"Of course." Not at all.

Derek pulled him onto his lap to keep kissing even as he attempted to lay back. But mostly got distracted by the kissing.
