Stiles was super glad his dad was working night shift tonight because he did not know how much longer he could take the father-son bonding. And it was the sheriff and Derek doing the bonding. Stiles was just sitting to the side watching in horror at his boyfriend and his dad chatting amicably. Shouldn't there be more glaring going on?

"We're not taking him to breakfast tomorrow," Stiles said, peeking out the window to make sure his dad was actually leaving.

"What if it's with Cora and her boyfriend?" he asked. "Or girlfriend. I don't know what she's into."

"I can't even picture Cora asking for a double date." A beat. "And I like to pretend she's still eleven years old not at the dating age."

It kept him sane.

Stiles lifted his eyebrows. "You know if it weren't for the weird Fandom time change she and I would be the same age."

"All the more reason to pretend that," he shot back. "Try picturing your dad dating."

And being able to smell things.

Stiles wrinkled his nose. "Gross."

"That might explain why she hates you so much," Derek teased.

"She doesn't hate me, does she?" he asked.

[justlurkinghere]

"She doesn't hate you," Derek confirmed, leaning in for a kiss. "Most of the time. But I think that's how she feels about most people."

"Oh good," he said, kissing Derek back. "Because she's scary."

"It's a Hale thing." They were really intense, okay?

"You're not scary."

[justlurkinghere]

"Not anymore."

He was totally scary once.

"Nah I was never scared of you," he lied. Totally lied.

So many lies!

"Never?"

"Nope."

"Not even when I snuck up on you and Scott?" he asked, sniffing at Stiles' neck.

"Nope," he said again. "I was more turned on than anything."

Well, that got Derek to laugh. "You were not."

"Totally was," Stiles said. "Wanted to jump you then and there."

"So, all that time I should have been worried for my safety?"

[robinonadderall]

"Yup," he said, kissing Derek again. "You were in danger the whole time."

"Any minute I could have been attacked by a sex crazed teenager," Derek teased, tugging him over toward the couch.

"And you had no idea," Stiles said, following Derek. "How do you feel about that?"

"A little impressed," Derek admitted. "You hid it well."

[robinonadderall]

"I'm good like that," he said, sitting down on the couch.
