It was a pretty well known fact that unless physically forced or woken up by a nightmare, Stiles would pretty much sleep his day away if he had nowhere to be. Sometimes the smell of coffee could lure him out of bed, but only if he was past the completely passed out stage of sleep. So despite going to bed annoyed last night, Stiles was still at the house and was still commandeering Derek's bed.

Or half of it, rather. At some point during the night half of him had fallen off the bed, so his face was pressed up against the floor while his lower half was still resting comfortably on the bed.

Don't ask how he could sleep like that. It was a mystery of life.

[For Derek! I'm gonna be on major SP at certain points during the day. Ugh I have appointments like an adult or something]

Stiles wrinkled up his nose, squirming around a little. "No. No more tea for me, Mr. Giggles."

Well...at least it wasn't a nightmare. Or worse, a sexy dream.

Derek was really hoping that wasn't a sex dream. Because wow.

He rolled his eyes, contemplating leaving him like that before hooking an arm under Stiles' chest to flip him back into the bed. Like a pancake.

The movement made Stiles jerk awake abruptly, flailing his arms out to hit whoever was touching him. "Oh god, don't kill me!"

And hey, you managed to smack Derek without the hand getting caught, Stiles! Mostly because he was wrapping both arms around the idiot to keep from dropping him.

But still.

"What the hell, Stiles?"

Stiles froze, trying not to flail even more when he realized what position he was in. "What do you mean 'what the hell, Stiles', what the hell, Derek?"

There was nothing weird happening! Stop making this weird!

"Do you want me to drop you?"

"Well no," he said. "Why are you holding me up in the first place?"

"You fell off the bed," Derek ground out.

[robinonadderall]

"Oh." He was unsurprised by that. "Well...thanks?"

"You're welcome," Derek replied dryly before abruptly dropping him on the bed. He was an awesome friend like that.

"Ugh." He wasn't awake enough to deal with this. "Is everybody else gone?"

"Well not everyone sleeps all day," Derek replied. Though it wasn't as mocking as it could be because Stiles was sleeping.

Oh god, why was this important to him?

Because you cared about him, Derek. You did.

"Did somebody make coffee?" Hint hint.

[justlurkinghere]

Derek just sighed. "I can make a fresh pot."

And then drink it while watching nature. Like a Folgers commercial.

"I love you," Stiles said, burying his face into one of the pillows. "Call me when it's ready."

He refused to function without caffeine. Refused.

GODDAMN IT, STILES. YOU WARN HIM BEFORE YOU DO THIS.

Derek froze up for a moment before his brain caught up with everything. "Get your ass out if bed or I'm giving the coffee to the squirrels," he said, making his escape.

Stiles made a disgruntled groaning noise in acknowledgement. He'd get up slowly but surely. It just took a few steps.

There would be no attempts to tame that bedhead before caffeine had been consumed though.

It was a very special look.

Derek was in the kitchen, glaring the coffee maker into submission. As you do.

Stiles managed to get out of bed and stumbled down stairs blearily, not having bothered to change into awake people clothes. Who knows, he might have a nap later. Might as well be comfortable.

He made his way into the kitchen, folding his arms on top one of the counters before putting his face in the little makeshift pillow. He could probably fall back asleep like that.

Derek rolled his eyes, busying himself by preparing a cup with milk and sugar. "Don't you have school to go to?"

"I only have class twice a week," he mumbled. "Unless online classes count, then I do those every day."

[justlurkinghere]

"I don't know if online classes count as classes," Derek replied dryly. He poured the coffee and shoved it forward at him.

[robinonadderall]

"They better, considering I need those to get into college," Stiles said, lifting his head up when he smelled coffee near him. "Fandom classes won't look good on transcripts."

[justlurkinghere]

"For being a cop." See? He paid attention.

[robinonadderall]

"I don't necessarily want to be a cop," he said before taking a sip of coffee. "A detective, yeah. Or some kind of forensics investigator. Something where you get to solve crimes."
