Stiles had absolutely no idea why Derek participated in his strange bonding activities--Flying Monkeys could have been considered abuse--but he wasn't about to complain. Derek was no Scott but it was still nice to have someone to watch horrible movies with. Making sarcastic comments to yourself was just sad.

The movie he picked this week was a Netflix suggestion after Stiles had been adding bad movies to the queue. Rodeo clowns and drug dealing conspiracies, it seemed like a must watch.

He had managed to not catch the popcorn on fire (a miracle in its own right) and was already hogging the couch even before the movie started. He had to claim his territory. Even if this wasn't his house.

[For Derek and anybody else who wants to stop by and watch a horrible movie about angsty rodeo clowns]

"I'm secure enough to admit that you're not hideous," Stiles said. "Too bad about that sorry ass personality of yours."

"Better than lacking both like you," Derek shot back with a smirk. Because he was a horrible, horrible jerk.

Enjoy having more popcorn thrown at you, Derek. "Screw you, I am charming and adorable."

Well, it saved him from having to take some from the bowl. Derek was soooo lazy.

"To who?"

"I could bring up several examples," Stiles said. "I just don't feel like it at the moment."

Derek snorted, enjoying his popcorn.

"That is a lot of cocaine out in the open."

"I'm still not understanding this whole ring," Stiles said. "Are they hiding the drugs in the bull's butts?"

"I think they're putting them in the bulls surgically?" Derek. Derek, don't strain yourself, sweetheart.

"That seems like a lot of effort when you can just hide it in their butts," he said. "I think we might get to see you cry soon."

"Because they're some highly educated drug dealers." JUST FYI. "And for the last time, that's not me."

"You said the last time was the last time."

[justlurkinghere]

"And like you wouldn't cry if that was your dad."

[robinonadderall]

"Oh I'd be sobbing," he said. "Or on some kind of killing rampage."

Pulling an Allison.

"You'd get yourself killed," Derek replied dryly. "Then where would he be?"

"Hey! It's possible I wouldn't get myself killed," Stiles said around a mouthful of popcorn. "You have no faith in me, that hurts."

"Chew, then talk." Derek demanded a certain level of class here. "This movie is terrible."

"Um, duh, why do you think I chose it?" Now he was just purposely talking with his mouth full.

"It's not even an interesting bad. Everyone is a bad actor."

"Aw, you shouldn't say that about yourself."

Derek reached over and gave his ear a flick. "Shut up."

"No violence!" Stiles said. "I'll sic Puppy Joe on you."

"Oh no. The horror," Derek deadpanned.

"He'll bite your face off defending me." Or...he'd probably lick you and then roll over and fall asleep. "This movie has put me off being a rodeo clown."

"I don't know. It seemed like an amazing career."

[robinonadderall]

"Holy crap the acting in this," Stiles said, shaking his head. "You definitely get to pick the next movie."
