Stiles had arranged for a portal to take him back to Fandom even before the clusterfuck that was last night went down and he was grateful for it this evening (it was a different evening, right? Stupid timelines) seeing as he had sort of felt like a zombie the last few hours. He was still sore as hell from getting the crap kicked out of him so the walk from the causeway into town was slow. He wasn't really thinking about where he was going but wasn't really surpised when he found himself at Derek and Mike's front door.

He let himself in (he hoped by now Mike realized B&E was a talent of his) and shuffled towards Derek's room, only taking a second to marvel at the fact that Derek actually had a bed now before kicking off his shoes and shrugging off his (Derek's, really) jacket before crawling under the covers.

Right now he was moping, but he was hoping it'd turn to sleep soon. Derek could just deal.

Argent related rage. It was probably a common thing for the folks of Beacon Hills.

"Out," Derek snapped, grabbing Stiles' arm to pull him up. Stiles, you better be too distracted to notice the quick inhale he gave as he leeched away some of that pain from the bruises.

Because now they could go get Denny's. Yes. That was the only reason for it.

Yeah, like he wasn't gonna notice that he suddenly felt a little better. "You don't have to do that."

SHUT UP AND STOP NOTICING THINGS.

Derek gave him a look that implied Stiles needed to stop being stupid and assuming something happened. Because nothing happened. "You're driving."

Stiles rolled his eyes. Fine, nothing happened. "Fine. Don't ask about what happened to my jeep."

"Wasn't going to," Derek replied, shoving a jacket at Stiles. Oh god, he was offering one of his leather jackets to you, Stiles. Now you knew it was a bad idea to say the Argents beat you up. He was being caring.

In a pretty fucked up way. But still.

"You're such a liar," Stiles said, taking the jacket but not commenting on it. Because apparently they weren't going to acknowledge when nice things happened. "You would be curious."

If they acknowledged it, they'd have to start a fight club or something to reaffirm their masculinity.

"You'd just lie about it." He was onto you.

"I wouldn't lie," Stiles said. "I would say I couldn't tell you."

There was a difference.

Derek made a noise of annoyance, but left that correction to stand. "Jack's okay?"

He doubted the kid would be here if something had happened to him.

"Yeah, of course," Stiles said, nodding. "He's the one that found me after the Argents dumped me off in the woods."

Yeah, Scott was a failure.

Derek's mouth went tight for a moment before he nodded. "Good."

"I'm still staying here tonight just FYI." He needed Puppy Joe cuddles!

Ugh, you're the worst, Stiles.

"Fine. Stay on your side of the bed." Really, guys? Really?

"Not going to be a problem." Come on, even Puppy Joe knew this was going to end in platonic spooning.

They had to at least pretend they weren't going to snuggle. It was a thing.

"Denny's," Derek replied with a nod.

"Good idea," he said. "I need like a giant plate of bacon in my life right now."

"No ordering anything from the special menu." Because no one could do it with a straight face. And they might get a sassy waiter.

"Aw, what?" Stiles whined. "You're no fun."

"Shut up, don't make me regret this."

"You survived the last Denny's trip I'm sure you can handle this one," he said. "Come on, Der-Bear."

He was beat up, let him call you cute names, Derek.

That earned him a careful shove that held less force than expected from a werewolf. "Move."

"Going, going." Stiles was fine with driving to Denny's, if only because he could submit Derek to all of the One Direction. All of it.

Ugh, you have no taste, Stiles. Couldn't you play some depressing Florence and the Machine? So that Derek can cry on the inside. Cryyyyyy.

At some point they'd become regulars at this Denny's. god save them from that fate. "Do you hate me? Is that what this music is?"

"One Direction is awesome!" Stiles said. "You're gonna be singing this to yourself later, mark my words."
