Stiles had arranged for a portal to take him back to Fandom even before the clusterfuck that was last night went down and he was grateful for it this evening (it was a different evening, right? Stupid timelines) seeing as he had sort of felt like a zombie the last few hours. He was still sore as hell from getting the crap kicked out of him so the walk from the causeway into town was slow. He wasn't really thinking about where he was going but wasn't really surpised when he found himself at Derek and Mike's front door.

He let himself in (he hoped by now Mike realized B&E was a talent of his) and shuffled towards Derek's room, only taking a second to marvel at the fact that Derek actually had a bed now before kicking off his shoes and shrugging off his (Derek's, really) jacket before crawling under the covers.

Right now he was moping, but he was hoping it'd turn to sleep soon. Derek could just deal.

Derek gave him the pat on the shoulder that he gave everyone. "No one would think you're badass, Stiles."

"I'll have you know before I got kidnapped I was a badass on the lacrosse field," Stiles informed him. "I won the game for us."

He didn't need your condescending pats on the shoulder, Derek!

"Ooooo." He was made made of sarcasm. "I'm impressed."

"See, this is why I invited Jack to the game and not you." Okay, it wasn't the only reason. "He was excited for me. Until the kidnapping, I mean."

"Love you too, moon pie." SO MUCH.

"Moon pie?" Stiles repeated. "Seriously?"

"Der-bear?"

[robinonadderall]

"Hey, your cute nickname has your name in it at least," Stiles pointed out. "Though I will allow that my name is harder to work with. Seeing as Stiles is already a nickname."

"I'm sticking with my nickname," Derek replied with a shrug. "What's your name then?"

"I don't think we've reached that level of trust in our relationship yet." Though he was just going to find out anyway once he looked at a class roster. "...Wait, did you think my name was Stiles Stilinski?"

"No." YEP.

"You totally did." He might not be able to prove you were lying, Derek, but he knew that you were. "You're not the first person to think that, if that makes you feel better. My first name's unpronounceable to the extent that some people have said it counts as child abuse. Going by Stiles just saves time."

"...I'll keep that in mind." FOR THE WEDDING. STILES HALE.

EXCUSE YOU, THEY WERE HYPHENATING THEIR NAMES. PUPPY JOE'S FULL NAME WAS TOTALLY PUPPY JOE STILINSKI-HALE.

"You told people about the moon pie thing, haven't you?" he asked.

HALE-STILINSKI. ALPHABETICAL ORDER.

"You told people about Der-Bear."

[robinonadderall]

"I only did that to keep Laurie happy." Such a liar. "And she was super happy, she almost broke my eardrum from shrieking."

"Uh huh." Laurie was special. "Just don't call me that when we're alone?"

[robinonadderall]

"No problem," he said. "Unless I'm trying to piss you off."

Oh like Derek wouldn't do the same damn thing.

"..." Derek stared at him for that.

Stiles gestured to his face. "Pissing people off is what I do."

It was like a hobby of sorts.

"I'm trying not to be surprised." So, so hard.

"Oh like you can judge," Stiles said, rolling his eyes. "You're worse than I am. You're lucky I'm able to look past your glaring personality faults."

Lucky might not be the right word to use there.

"You're only with me for it for my personality, right," Derek said, leaning in closer than strictly necessary.

[robinonadderall]

"I already told you before that you were a two," Stiles said, trying to resist the urge to move away. 'Cause that would be losing. "I'm also in it for your impressive ability to be a complete creeper."
