Stiles had arranged for a portal to take him back to Fandom even before the clusterfuck that was last night went down and he was grateful for it this evening (it was a different evening, right? Stupid timelines) seeing as he had sort of felt like a zombie the last few hours. He was still sore as hell from getting the crap kicked out of him so the walk from the causeway into town was slow. He wasn't really thinking about where he was going but wasn't really surpised when he found himself at Derek and Mike's front door.

He let himself in (he hoped by now Mike realized B&E was a talent of his) and shuffled towards Derek's room, only taking a second to marvel at the fact that Derek actually had a bed now before kicking off his shoes and shrugging off his (Derek's, really) jacket before crawling under the covers.

Right now he was moping, but he was hoping it'd turn to sleep soon. Derek could just deal.

"I only did that to keep Laurie happy." Such a liar. "And she was super happy, she almost broke my eardrum from shrieking."

"No problem," he said. "Unless I'm trying to piss you off."

Oh like Derek wouldn't do the same damn thing.

Stiles gestured to his face. "Pissing people off is what I do."

It was like a hobby of sorts.

"I'm trying not to be surprised." So, so hard.

"Oh like you can judge," Stiles said, rolling his eyes. "You're worse than I am. You're lucky I'm able to look past your glaring personality faults."

Lucky might not be the right word to use there.

"You're only with me for it for my personality, right," Derek said, leaning in closer than strictly necessary.

"I already told you before that you were a two," Stiles said, trying to resist the urge to move away. 'Cause that would be losing. "I'm also in it for your impressive ability to be a complete creeper."

"That's so sweet, dear," Stiles said sarcastically. "What did I do in life to deserve someone as amazing as you?"

"Killed someone," Derek replied with a totally romantic smile. "Sweetheart."

"You wish you were that much of a punishment for me," he said. "And, no, that's not an invitation to try to be more of a jerk."

Sure, make Derek roll his eyes. "Could be worse." SOMEHOW.

"Oh, believe me, I know it can." He already had enough weird text messages from Peter to be well aware of that. "You could be fake dating Scott."

"I don't see that happening." Because of reasons.

"Well, yeah, Scott's butt crazy in love with someone else," Stiles said. "And I'm fairly sure he thinks we're actually dating even though I told him we were fake dating."

Oh, Scott. You innocent little lamb.

"Well, duh, why do you think I kept going back home every other week for the last three months?" he asked. "Scott can't handle anything himself, he's like the worst werewolf ever."

Stiles lifted his eyebrows, deciding to keep this moment in mind if Derek went the way of his counterpart and became desperate to have Scott join his pack.

"He does have his good qualities that make up for his lack of brains," Stiles admitted. "I'm just too pissed at him right now to really think of any specific one."
