Since their last attempt at a vacation had been sort of a disaster, Stiles and Derek decided a quick weekend to Fandom was in order. It wasn't much of a vacation site but, hey, at least they could say they left the house...and went back to their old house. Mike was such a good person for putting up with them.

Like old times Stiles was asleep upstairs totally unaware some Fandom weirdness was going on. But he'd find out. Oh, he'd find out.

Mike was truly a saint among men for putting up with them.

Hint number one that things weren't right might have been the deeply confused man in bed with him. Which would be why Clark sat up quickly to blink at his surroundings.

"Oh no..." WAS THERE SOME KIND OF KRYPTONITE INVOLVED? BECAUSE HE FELT THERE MIGHT HAVE BEEN.

"Did the dog get into the trash again?" Stiles mumbled.

"No?" Clark ventured, listening for a dog for a moment before carefully trying to slip out of the bed to try and find his clothing.

Stiles rolled over to look at Derek 'cause that tone he was taking as unfamiliar. "What's wrong?"

And was perfectly clean shaven. When was the last time you saw that, Stiles?

Clark froze mid-search for clothing that wasn't all black or flannel. "Hi. Um."

How did one react to unexpected and possibly alien rock induced one night stands?

Yeah that was a Derek he had never seen before. But Stiles was just waking up and logic wasn't coming to him quickly. "Why'd you shave?"

"I haven't yet," Clark said, reaching up to check his face. Nope, still the same. Because clearly he didn't get a five o'clock shadow at 9 am. "I'm real sorry, but what's your name?"

And that's when it all clicked. "Aw, fuck. We're in town for less than twenty-four hours..."

And that is why you don't go back, Stiles. You never go back to the creepy town where weird shit happens.

"Not really answering the question here." But Clark had given up on finding his clothing and grabbed the flannel shirt. Sorry, Stiles.

Also, language, Stiles. Language.

"Well I'm Stiles," he said slowly. "And that's my shirt."

But it was the only thing that didn't make him sad to look at! Because it was too warm out for Derek to pack his soft, thumb hole sweaters.

"Nice to meet you, Stiles," he said, dutifully handing over the flannel. "Again, I guess? I'm Clark."

And still really awkward about this.

"Clark. Okay," Stiles said, taking the shirt. "Your clothes are the black ones that don't fit right."

WHICH MADE HIM SAD, STILES.

"Are you sure?" Because oh god, that didn't look like him.

"Well considering I'm usually engaged to you, yeah, I'm pretty sure of which clothes are yours."

[justlurkinghere]

"Wait, what?" He would have remembered being engaged. Probably. "How long have I been out?"

"Uh, like six hours? Maybe?" he tried. "I don't know, I fell asleep before you."

[justlurkinghere]

"Okay, I think we're missing the point," Clark said, anxiously adjusting his glasses. Which were clearly the one thing he got to keep in this transformation. "What is happening here?"

"Well you are on an island in Maryland," Stiles started. "And you think you're someone that you're not and I'm gonna spend all weekend taking pictures of you for you to be embarrassed about later."

[justlurkinghere]

"That's... not very nice of you." But it was sort of Derek's lot in life and Clark just needed to accept that.

[robinonadderall]

"That's what you do to somebody you love," Stiles informed him. "Tease them mercilessly."

As if Lois wouldn't do the same thing to Clark.

Oh god, if Lois had to deal with Derek... that would be such a thing. It would end in tears.

He did look slightly mollified at the whole 'love' thing because it was sort of sweet in a way. A terrible way. "Alright, but I'm pretty sure I don't think I'm someone else."

You know, Mike really should've expected something to go wrong.

But sometimes he was dumb, so he was in the kitchen cooking up breakfast for three and not expecting any weirdness. Nothing weirder than how his idea of 'for three' seemed like some people's 'for an army'.

Shush, he knew how some people needed to be fed.

"I know you don't," Stiles said, doing the polite thing and pulling on his pants under the covers. He didn't want to embarrass Clark. "But you'll change your mind by Monday."

Stiles came rushing down the stairs, looking extremely amused. "Get your camera ready. Nerd alert incoming any second now."

Was a super clean-cut and bespectacled guy who looked like a sort of nerdy Derek something he was expecting from this visit? If not... sorry 'bout it, Mike.
