How was it that Stiles' summer internship was more tiring than the classes? Unpaid hard labor, that's what this was. Unpaid hard labor that was required for him to get a good job out of college. Almost immediately after getting home from the police station he was working at Stiles went upstairs and flopped into bed. And immediately got a Puppy Joe sitting on his head.

Life was hard.

"Professional gardener?" he joked.

"I could." He would be fired in a week. But not for lack of trying.

"Maybe we should wait and see if you actually manage to grow anything in our garden," he teased.

"Things are growing." Like three of them were. "We'll have a lot of zucchini."

"Do you know how to cook zucchini?" he asked.

"I think you can make bread with it?" So no. Not really.

[robinonadderall]

"...sounds kind of gross." Vegetable bread usually did.

"Maybe if there's chocolate with it." Look at them adulting. Just look. "I'll just give them to the farmer's market."

Who would throw them out because they were sad zucchini.

Stiles grinned. "Aww are you gonna sell your wares at the farmer's market?"

[justlurkinghere]

"I could do that." Sure. Derek could be social enough to sell things. That was likely. "People sell stupid things there."

[robinonadderall]

"How much time have you spent at the farmer's market?" Stiles asked. "Is that what you do when I'm at work?"

"No." Completely was. "Sometimes. Do you think I sit by the door and wait for you to get back?"

Yes, be defensive. That'll help.

"Of course not," he said, rubbing Derek's shoulders. "You're just not the most social person."

That he couldn't argue. So he just huffed and moved his head to a more comfortable position. "You'll have to come sometime. There's a booth that sells dog clothes."

Stiles chuckled. "I'm sure Puppy Joe would love to be dressed up."

He'd tear the outfit to shreds, let's be real.

And then prance away to start on any clothing on the floor out of vengeance.

"Maybe a little police hat."

"Don't think he'd try to kill us in our sleep if we did that?"

"I think I could outrun him."

Stiles, on the other hand...

"Which is why he'd kill us while we're asleep."

[justlurkinghere]

Derek eyed the dog where he'd claimed a pillow as his own. "Okay, no hats."

"We could get you an outfit for when you turn into a wolf." Oh he was treading the line there.

He was just pushing Derek into passive aggressive nudism with that.

"Why would I need an outfit?" Other than to look like and adorable pony sized dog.

"Because you'd look cute!"

[justlurkinghere]

"I doubt they'd have anything that would fit a wolf." Like that would stop anyone, Derek.

"You have a point," he said, sighing. "Too bad. It would have been a sight to see."
