It was kind of nice having a place to himself. Sure the whole cleaning aspect sucked and sometimes it was scary when he heard strange noises at night but for the most part it was nice. He got to use his jeep all the time and he didn't have a roommate giving him side eye all the time. And he had a kitchen to cook stuff in!

"Stuff" being top ramen. Look, his skills were limited.

"But then what would you offer me as a househusband?" he teased.

Derek sighed, going to lean against the counter as he watched Stiles and his terrible ramen. "Are you going to expect dinner on the table every night? Maybe a martini?"

"I mean, if you want me to make dinner you're going to get ramen." Though he wouldn't make Derek eat straight out of the pot like Stiles was going to do now.

Which was why Derek was making even more of a face at him. They had bowls for a reason, Stiles! For a reason!

"I'm cooking then." And he'd sneak bacon into everything.

"Probably best for the both of us," he said around a mouthful of noodles. "And the kids too."

It was just rude to keep making Derek beam happily. So rude.

"Maybe I'll start one of those blogs about being a stay at home husband and dad." He'd have to make Stiles start the blog and then fix all the coding errors he was bound to make without knowing how.

"What would you put on it?" he asked, amused.

"How my husband has a room full of posters about crimes," Derek replied dryly. "Should I be concerned that he's a serial killer?"

Stiles laughed, putting the mostly-finished pot in the sink. He'd take care of that later. Maybe. "And here I thought you'd be taking pictures of the lunches you make for the kids. You'll probably cut their sandwiches into shapes."

Derek would take care of it later, let' be real.

"I'd do that too," Derek replied. "Share some secret werewolf recipes with the world."

"Do secret werewolf recipes involve woodland animals you've killed yourself?" he asked.

[justlurkinghere]

"Honestly? Lots of carbs, lots of protein." A beat. "I had so many peanut butter sandwiches as a kid."

He looked so fond of those memories.

"You know if we have human kids fruits and vegetables are going to have to be a part of that mix, right?"

[justlurkinghere]

"Wait... humans need vegetables?"

[robinonadderall]

Stiles started to laugh like Derek made a joke and then... "You're kidding, right?"

Derek gave him such a look for that. "I don't know if this relationship can go on. Vegetables are the last straw."

"Shut up," Stiles said, giving Derek a playful shove. "You do act like vegetables are the enemy."

"They'd just be better with some meat with them." Like bacon. Mostly bacon. "I have sharp teeth for a reason, you know."

"You don't always have sharp teeth," he teased. "Most of the time you have bunny teeth."

And what do bunnies eat...

Derek bared his adorable bunny teeth at him for that. It was super cute if you ignored the sharp points on the ends.

It's weird that Stiles smiled at that, wasn't it? "You're adorable when you do that."

"Fangs and glowing eyes don't scare you, but someone sneaking up behind you does."

[robinonadderall]

"Well the person sneaking up on me might not have been you," he pointed out. "I've got bats all over the house ready to hit a burglar with."

[justlurkinghere]

"Should we get a security system?" Asked the werewolf whose idea of 'security' was a random alarm in a creepy, abandoned warehouse turned apartment that was apparently an investment of his millions.

"I'll be fine," he said with a wave of his hand. "I just get jumpy sometimes when I'm by myself."
