Lobby at Stiles' Dorm | Wednesday Afternoon

Stiles' sophomore year was trucking along at a fast pace but he was still feeling the beginnings of some student fatigue. He was tired of having to read textbooks and writing essays. The fact that he knew he had two more years of this plus grad school didn't help anything. His mopey texts to Derek had progressively gotten mopier to the point where Derek actually agreed to interrupt Stiles' studying and visit in the middle of the week.

His roommate was upstairs which was why Stiles was waiting in the lobby, impatiently keeping an eye on the door for Derek.

Derek stumbled back, hands on his chest like he was wounded. "It's our thing," he replied, heading around for the driver's seat. "And I get some bacon."

"We'll see." Let's be real, Stiles was grateful enough that Derek came here to distract him that he would let the bacon thing slide.

"We can share the bacon." Look, he was compromising!

"That'd be a good idea," he said. "Though ordering a double order of bacon and each of us eating half doesn't count as sharing."

"Pretty sure it still counts."

[robinonadderall]

Stiles huffed. "It absolutely does not count."

"It does if I can easily eat two orders on my own."

He could also eat everything in the fridge. So.

"You're not allowed to do that."

[justlurkinghere]

"Which is why we're sharing."

Look at that logic.

Stiles sighed, but looked fond. "Drive on then."

Derek was forced to continue the diabetes trend by leaning over to kiss him on the cheek before doing just that. "You know you just have to ask and I'll come see you. Anytime."

"I know," Stiles said. "I don't want to take advantage though."

What, and break their codependent streak?

"Think you loaded on too many classes this semester?"

[robinonadderall]

"Maybe," he said with a shrug. "I'll manage."

Hopefully without a nervous breakdown.

"You trying to finish a semester early?" Because that was insane, Stiles. Seriously.

[robinonadderall]

"I'm trying to make sure that I get into grad school," Stiles said. "The harder the classes the better."

Derek sighed because he was a mother hen. A surly, surly mother hen. "Don't make yourself sick."

"I don't think that's a thing," he said. "School can't make you sick."

[justlurkinghere]

"Stress can." Because he was the expert on human illnesses. "Right?"

That was totally a thing.

"I mean it can," he allowed. "But it won't happen to me."

Let's be real, he was getting the flu this year.

Probably the entirety of Thanksgiving break would be spent miserable and hacking, yes.

"Good. You're a terrible sick person," said the actual worst sick person ever.

"You're a terrible sick person."

[justlurkinghere]

"It was one time!"

He was forgetting about the time he tried to make Stiles cut off his arm.

"Yeah and you were a huge baby," Stiles teased.

[justlurkinghere]

"It was uncomfortable." And he was a giant baby.
