Lobby at Stiles' Dorm | Wednesday Afternoon

Stiles' sophomore year was trucking along at a fast pace but he was still feeling the beginnings of some student fatigue. He was tired of having to read textbooks and writing essays. The fact that he knew he had two more years of this plus grad school didn't help anything. His mopey texts to Derek had progressively gotten mopier to the point where Derek actually agreed to interrupt Stiles' studying and visit in the middle of the week.

His roommate was upstairs which was why Stiles was waiting in the lobby, impatiently keeping an eye on the door for Derek.

Stiles grinned. "I like your toy collection."

"Not jealous?" Derek teased.

"I like to think I benefit from all your practice."

[justlurkinghere]

Well, that was true.

"Only got them because of you," Derek replied, smirking as he settled in against him again.

"All my fault?" he asked. "I find that hard to believe."

[justlurkinghere]

"Had to make sure I enjoyed it," Derek replied. "And it wasn't like I could ask someone to try it out."

"Well, I mean, you could have." Considering they hadn't been dating at the time. "But I'm glad you didn't."

"I'd have to have trusted the person." A beat. "Or been someone else."

Which was what caused the trouble in the first place.

"Two unlikely things," he said. "Like I said, I'm glad you didn't."

Derek responded to that with a little bit of scent marking that he would still insist wasn't happening as he rubbed his cheek against Stiles' chest. "We're lucky we're just as possessive with each other."

Stiles laughed and shook his head. "We got lucky that we both find possessiveness hot."

"It probably explains why we don't argue as much." That and the athletic sex.

[robinonadderall]

"Well there's also the fact that neither of us have done anything reckless and stupid lately." That tended to help.

"I don't do stupid things."

Yes, that was important to say. Not to the other thing.

"You totally do."

[justlurkinghere]

"You're the one who does stupid things."

[robinonadderall]

"We both do stupid things." Both includes you, Derek!

"Fine." He'd accept that. Sullenly. "Tattoos don't count on that, though."

[robinonadderall]

"I didn't mention tattoos." It was totally a smart move to tattoo your boyfriend's name on your chest six months into the relationship.

Smart and romantic.

"Well, good. Because I love yours."

Possessive little fucker.

"What, the wolf?" he joked.

[justlurkinghere]

"Totally the wolf," Derek replied. "It gets me going."

"Totally why I got it," he said. "To attract handsome men such as yourself."

"It's so rugged."

[robinonadderall]

"Isn't it just?" Stiles said, kissing the top of Derek's head. "Now tell me what you think of the one on my shoulder."
