Non-Creepy Mansion | Specifically Under Derek's Bed | Tuesday Afternoon

It was dangerous when Stiles got bored. He tended to create little "projects" for himself that really had no point but were something he'd quickly become obsessed with and the next thing you know Sheriff Stilinski can't find anything in the kitchen because Stiles decided to organize the pantry and fridge by expiration date.

Which probably explained why his dad paid for the portal ticket back to Fandom.

Stiles' latest project was going through the clothes they had in the bedroom to pick out stuff he wanted to bring to Beacon Hills and get the rest sorted in ROYGBIV order if Derek didn't come home in time to stop him. The closet had been taken care of, as had the dresser drawers. Now he was under the bed, trying to find clothes that had either gotten kicked under there or dragged in by Puppy Joe.

Boxers, t-shirts and socks he had been expecting. What he hadn't been expecting was a tiny black box that he had never seen before. Too lazy to wriggle out from under the bed (it had taken way too much shifting to get under there in the first place), Stiles brought out his phone and turned on the flashlight so he could see what was inside.

Did it count as an invasion of privacy if this was pretty much your bedroom?

When Stiles opened the box to find a ring he decided that, yes, this was an invasion of Derek's privacy. Because the ring was silver colored (though Stiles guessed it was platinum because this was Derek we were talking about) and there was a triskelion engraved in it. If Stiles were brave enough he would guess that it'd fit his ring finger if he tried it on.

Stiles let out a shaky breath. He definitely wasn't supposed to find this.

"Other surprises." Maybe. "I don't have many options for places to hide things."

He sighed. "You know how hard it is for me not to snoop."

"Maybe for our anniversary I'll do it on purpose," Derek suggested.

"Works for me," he said before kissing Derek again.

"Try not to lose it," Derek added, nudging Stiles toward the bed.

"I'm never taking it off," Stiles said, grabbing a hold of Derek's shirt to keep him close while he made his way toward the bed.

"Never?" Oh god, he sounded so pleased by that.

"Never," he confirmed, lying back on the bed when he felt his legs hit the edge of it. "It's going to be hard for me not to stare at it constantly."

"If you get distracted by it, we might run into a snag waiting for you to graduate college," Derek joked, crawling after him onto the bed.

"Maybe I'll be used to it by the time the school year rolls around again," he said, tugging at Derek's shirt to get it off.

"You better," Derek replied, sitting up to help pull the shirt off. "Expecting to be your kept man after you graduate."

"You planning to be my househusband?" Stiles slid his left hand up Derek's chest, letting the ring rest against the tattoo there.

They were the absolute worst with the overt romance. "Seemed like a good plan," Derek replied, putting his hand over Stiles'.

"I approve," he said, leaning in to kiss Derek again. "Means you'll have to give me massages after I've had a hard day at work."

"Bring you a martini when you get home too?" Derek teased, running his hands through Stiles' hair.

"Nah you can just have dinner ready," he joked. "We gonna get you a ring too?"

He didn't know the rules when it came to gay engagements.

Neither did Derek, to be honest.

"We could," Derek replied thoughtfully. "I don't want you to feel like you need to spend thar kind of money right now."

"Good point." Stupid money issues. "Guess until then I'll have to be super possessive so people know you're a kept man."

"The tattoo isn't enough?" Derek asked, pulling at Stiles' shirt to get it off.

[robinonadderall]

"Not everybody can see the tattoo," he said, tugging his shirt off. "And fewer people know my real name."

"Well," Derek started before getting distracted by kissing Stiles' throat and shoulder. "What do you propose?"

He needed to stop trying to be funny with his word choice.

He smiled at the wording. "I mean I should be asking you for advice when it comes to possessiveness."

"You can't give me hickies," Derek said, starting on one for Stiles. Since he was nice like that. "And normal humans can't smell you on me."

He was at a loss with what else to do.

Stiles sighed. "That makes things difficult."

"Maybe if you like, you should put a ring on it," he teased. "Maybe the kind you get in a gumball machine?"
