Some nightmares last night had led to Stiles sleeping during the day to make up for lost time which in turn led to him knowing he wasn't gonna sleep tonight. So he was downstairs sprawled out on the couch with some popcorn, scrolling through Netflix to load up some 80's action movies into the queue.

They'd all meld together by 3 a.m. but that was okay with him.

Derek shook his head.

"Then what did you mean?" he asked.

"Is this--are we alright?"

"Why wouldn't we be?"

Derek pursed his lips and went back to looking at the television. "Nevermind."

He sighed. "Derek, we're fine. I'm just in a bad mood and I snapped at you and I'm sorry."

"That's all?"

"Yes, that's all," Stiles said. "No complaints from me."

"I want to spend time with you," Derek muttered, leaning against him now. "Even when you're an asshole."

"That's so...sweet?" Maybe?

"Shut up." It was manly as hell.

Stiles gave Derek a quick smile before reaching up to put his hand his in hair. "You forgive me?"

"Not while you're cheating," Derek muttered, tilting his head toward the fingers in his hair.

"Doing something you like is cheating now?" he asked.

[justlurkinghere]

"A little bit." But notice how he wasn't trying to get away or anything. "I'll forgive it this time."

"Thanks," he said, giving Derek's hair a little tug before pulling it away. "I appreciate it."

"When do you go?" Derek asked. Deal with being his pillow, Stiles. Deal with it.

"Couple weeks," he said, leaning back so that they'd both be comfortable lying on the couch. "Still waiting on my student loan to go through and then I'll go."

"Offer to help pay still stands." Let him sugar daddy you so good, Stiles.

[robinonadderall]

"I'm not going to let you do that." Let him maintain some dignity please. While getting into a massive amount of debt.

And his medical bills haven't even come in yet!

"I'm offering. I have to speak to the guy Laura had handling things anyway. So Cora gets her half of the insurance money."

"I've got it handled," he said defensively. "I'll be fine."

"Okay," Derek replied, putting his hand on Stiles' leg. "I just--it's not like I know what to do with that money."

"It doesn't matter," he said. "I'd never be able to pay you back and I can't not pay you back for something that big."
