Some nightmares last night had led to Stiles sleeping during the day to make up for lost time which in turn led to him knowing he wasn't gonna sleep tonight. So he was downstairs sprawled out on the couch with some popcorn, scrolling through Netflix to load up some 80's action movies into the queue.

They'd all meld together by 3 a.m. but that was okay with him.

"Have you ever seen a college dorm?" he asked. "A real one outside of TV? 'Cause there's no room for futons in there."

"...really?" His illusions were shattered! "Where are we going to have sex when I visit?"

"They will be giving me a bed, Derek." A twin sized one.

A narrow fucking twin.

Derek made a face at that. "One of us is gonna fall out."

"We've had sex in the backseat of a car and we've fooled around on this couch," he pointed out. "Both are smaller than a dorm bed."

Derek was an interesting shade of red at the mention of the backseat. No reason.

"For sleeping?"

"Don't you think my roommate would be a little uncomfortable with my boyfriend sleeping over?" Especially when it was Derek.

No, Derek hadn't thought about that part of it.

"Oh." So it would just be a booty call then. Without the cuddling after.

"I'll come visit on weekends." And try not to have withdrawls during the week.

"You'll be busy with classes," Derek muttered.

"Not that busy." Okay, he'd probably be pretty busy. But other college students managed to get free time, why not him?

"You'll be busy with all the college things. Parties."

TV better not have lied to him about that.

[robinonadderall]

"Yeah, because I've been known to go to a lot of parties," he said. "It's not like you're never gonna see me again, Derek. I'm going to visit."

"Parties where people won't take your alcohol away."

People meaning Derek. God he was being surly.

"Derek."

[justlurkinghere]

Derek made a surly noise, curling his arms around Stiles possessively. Because clearly Stiles was going to meet the perfect person while at school. Without weird traumas.

"You should have that experience."

[robinonadderall]

"I thought we were over you doing this," he said, putting his arms around Derek in return. "College doesn't mean I'm gonna leave you."

"You haven't had a relationship outside this. You can't know that."

[robinonadderall]

"Can you please trust me here?" Stiles asked. "I love you, okay? I'm not going anywhere."

Derek sighed against him. "I'll miss you."

Like a disturbing amount.

"I'll miss you too," he said. "It's not forever though."

At that, Derek tugged him down for a kiss. Because they were weird and romantic like that.

Of course they were. Stiles kissed Derek back, kissing him like he was trying to prove he wasn't going to leave him any time soon.

"Can I help you move in?" And not have sex to traumatize Stiles' roommate.

[robinonadderall]

"Are you gonna while when I want to take the jeep to move in?" he asked.
