As of  this morning Stiles was no longer a teenager. Twenty didn't feel too different from nineteen though he did have a minor crisis over the last few days that would be much more appropriate on his twenty-fifth or thirtieth birthday. How did this getting old thing happen? Who allowed this?

Ignore the fact that he still had a babyface and probably would until he was forty.

At least he had classes this morning to make him feel young. And homework to do this weekend. He tossed his bag on the floor of the living room when he got home, deciding he could worry about that on Sunday night. It was his birthday he shouldn't have to do homework.

"Free vegetables?" He'd drag you to the farmer's market at the crack of dawn to spite you, Stiles. Don't think he won't.

Stiles sighed. "We're not bickering about bunnies and vegetables on my birthday."

"Welcome to being an adult," Derek muttered against Stile's neck. So he couldn't see the grin. Sneaky, sneaky Derek.

"Don't be a jerk," Stiles said, smacking Derek's arm.

[justlurkinghere]

"I'm not being a jerk!" he said. Being a jerk.

[robinonadderall]

"You are so," Stiles said. "I'm gonna give you so much hell when you turn thirty."

[justlurkinghere]

"You are not," Derek insisted, rolling to pin Stiles to the ground. "I'm never going to be thirty. Werewolf secret."

[robinonadderall]

Stiles huffed when he found himself looking up at Derek. Somehow he should have known this was going to end with them rolling around in the grass. "I've seen werewolves older than thirty."

"Are you sure about that?"

[robinonadderall]

"Yup," he said. "Like it or not one day you'll be thirty."

"Only chronologically." And then he'd find a grey hair and cry to Stiles that he's an old man. Stiles, you married an old man. Soon to be in the grave...

Stiles couldn't wait for that day, to be honest. He'd laugh so much.

"And now you know how I feel today," Stiles said, Derek's grumpy face making him smile.

You're the worst, Stiles. Derek just wanted to stay young and pretty forever.

"Twenty is not the same as thirty."

[robinonadderall]

"Close enough," he said. "And neither are the same as forty. Oh man, wait until you turn forty. You'll have me and the kids making fun of you."

"You'd make the kids do that to me?"

Make them, Derek? Really?

[robinonadderall]

"Absolutely."

[justlurkinghere]

"I regret putting a ring on it," Derek informed him, reaching for Stiles' hand with the engagement ring.

[robinonadderall]

"No you don't," Stiles said, threading their fingers together.

[justlurkinghere]

Derek sighed and gave him the sappiest look possible. "No, I don't."

Stiles leaned up to kiss Derek again for that sappy look. Way to be disgusting, you two.

When they finally had kids, they would traumatize them with the sappiness and constant sexcapades.

"Anything you want for your birthday?" Derek asked, staying close to kiss him again rather than let him respond.

[robinonadderall]

The kiss gave him a moment to think on that question. Not that he could think very clearly with Derek kissing him. "Well you're still dirty."

Something should probably be done about that.

Derek gave him a thoughtful look. "Bath or shower?"

Look, he knew Stiles loved that big tub. It had been one of the main selling points of the house.

[robinonadderall]

"Bath." Like it needed to be said. "Though one day when we have a big house, deep in the woods with no chance of neighbors creeping on us, we're gonna have sex in the backyard."

And in the pool if they built one. Probably several times in the pool.

There was very little doubt about that happening if they got a pool.

"I'll try to make sure there's a hot tub for the honeymoon," Derek replied, biting playfully at Stiles' jawline before pulling away.
