If Stiles was truly honest with himself he would be able to admit that buying a house would soon lead to him and Derek living there full time together no matter how much Derek insisted it wouldn't turn out like that. Not that Stiles was complaining. In fact he looked at their codependency with complete fondness. It was nice knowing he'd have someone to come home to. Even if he wasn't getting his homework done as quickly as he used to.

He was trying to fix that right now, taking up one of the spare bedrooms as a sort of office. He was finishing up some reading for his Juvenile Deliquency course and then had to look into getting an internship this summer. It was all very boring.

"I know what you're thinking," he said. "Don't think that I don't."

"I wasn't thinking anything." He was just laughing on the inside.

"Bullshit," he said, looking over his book. "This is serious business stuff, I'll have you know."

"Is it giving you insight into the minds of juvenile delinquents? Which neither of us know anything about."

"Well I certainly don't know anything about it." Lies.

Suuuch a lie. "Fine, upstanding citizen Stiles Stilinski."

"That's me," Stiles said. "Unlike you."

"I'm a homeowner." You could not get more upstanding than that.

Stiles snorted. "And?"

"It means I'm contributing to society." By being rich.

[robinonadderall]

"So you're looking for a job then?" he teased.

Derek made a face at him. "I'm marrying someone to keep me from having to work."

Stiles laughed. "The person you are accusing of juvenile delinquency?"

"No, my boyfriend in Florida." Derek was the worst.

"Better go see him then," Stiles said, waving his hand.

"You're not even going to fight for my love?"

[robinonadderall]

"If you love something you should let it go," Stiles recited. "Isn't that how it goes?"

Derek sighed, coming into the room to drape himself over Stiles' shoulders. Possessively. "It'd still be interesting if you fought my non-existent Florida boyfriend for my honor."

Stiles smiled, leaning back against Derek. "With my fighting skills Florida boyfriend would have probably won."

"Then I could have nursed you back to health."

[robinonadderall]

"Wouldn't go home with the winner?" he asked.

[justlurkinghere]

"Tempting. Really tempting." But then again. Florida.

[robinonadderall]

"Why would you stay with me then?" he asked.

[justlurkinghere]

"Well, I just might happen to be in love with you," Derek replied, closing his eyes and ducking his face against Stiles' neck. "Bad movie love."

Stiles huffed. "Whisper sweet nothings in my ear bad movie love?"
