Normal (Mostly) Mansion | Saturday Afternoon

Stiles had come back to town to get Puppy Joe snuggles and to take blatant advantage of the bigger TV. Netflix had put one of his favorite childhood cartoons into rotation and it needed to be viewed on the big screen. So he decided to spend (Derek's) money on an overnight trip to Fandom and was now hogging the couch reading one of Derek's wedding magazines while the cartoon played in the background. He was also slowly eating everything that Derek and Mike had put in the fridge.

It was like Christmas for Puppy Joe since Stiles was a messy eater so he got to eat everything that was dropped on the floor.

"I want the whole wedding thing," Derek agreed, putting his hands on Stiles' legs. "Do you?"

"Yeah," he said with a nod. "Yeah, of course I do."

"And not just because I promised to wear something under my tux?"

Stiles smiled. "No, but that is a perk."

Derek grinned before leaning over to give him a kiss. "You're just lucky to miss out on trying to find a venue."

Stiles happily returned the kiss. "Finding a place can't possibly be that hard."

You're adorable, Stiles.

"I've already been shut out on three places for a booking if we want a summer wedding." A beat. "And a fourth because I think the woman running the place was a harpy."

Stiles was doing his very best not to laugh. Derek's bridezilla tendencies were adorable. His opinion on this might change in the next three years.

"A harpy, Derek, really?"

When Derek started freaking out over the table arrangements, yes.

"A literal harpy."

"And you are basing this on...?"

[justlurkinghere]

Intuition."

[robinonadderall]

Stiles sighed. "You're insane."

[justlurkinghere]

"When she attempts to rip your lungs out with her claws, I get to say 'I told you so,'" Derek replied.

"Are you going to actually book with the harpy?" he asked.

[justlurkinghere]

"Oh, I thought you didn't believe me about her being a harpy."

This wedding planning will be the death of them both.

Stiles maturely stuck his tongue out at Derek. "What kind of places are you even looking at?"

"Somewhere tasteful," Derek replied. "I wasn't sure how many people would be invited because of--everything."

Derek's side of the church would be so very sparse.

Stiles leaned in to kiss Derek again. "It won't be many people."

It's not like Stiles had much in the way of family either.

Derek smiled, putting a hand on the back of Stiles' neck to kiss him back. "Small works for me. More intimate."

"Good," he said. "And no harpies."

[justlurkinghere]

"We'll make that a wedding rule," Derek replied. "Right up there with 'don't invite Peter'."

Stiles made a face. "Man I hope you didn't just jinx us."

[justlurkinghere]

"...I just did, didn't I?"

[robinonadderall]

"Totally did."

[justlurkinghere]

Derek sighed, leaning against him. "I've ruined our wedding already."
