So Derek had...quite the weekend. It was weird for Stiles too but he knew that was nothing compared to what Derek went through. Stiles wasn't even sure if he wanted to see his mother again if it would mean having to say goodbye again.

Stiles still wasn't great at this comforting thing but he was doing what he could. Mostly that meant he bought donuts and coffee at JGOB while Derek was still upstairs in their room. See? Comfort!

Though it probably didn't help that Stiles was eating all the jelly donuts in the kitchen instead of letting Derek know there was food.

"Damn right I will," Stiles said, kissing Derek again. "Watching you lose your shit will amuse me."

"You just want to be the cool dad," Derek teased, letting the dog down onto the couch so he could focus on Stiles.

Stiles looped his arms around Derek's neck. "Somebody has to be."

Derek gave that some thought, placing his hands on Stiles' hips. "I could be." Before the kid turned 13, that is.

"Yeah, right," he said. "No way you're gonna be the cool dad."

"At least I know how to dress." Ooo, burn!

Stiles laughed. "That's the best you've got?"

"And I can buy the kid a pony."

[robinonadderall]

"You are not buying our child a pony."

[justlurkinghere]

"It'd teach responsibility."

What.

"Then buy them a dog," Stiles said. "We don't have room for a pony."

"How much room would we need for a pony?" Asking for a friend.

Stiles kissed Derek again. "We're not getting a pony."

"A miniature pony," Derek replied, nipping at Stiles' chin.

"I'm not letting you spoil our child," he said, putting his hands into Derek's hair.

"It's just being a cool dad," Derek insisted. He moved his head to feel Stiles' fingers in his hair.

"Our kid might not be into ponies," he said, tugging on Derek's hair. "They might be content with a dog or a cat."

Derek smirked, humming happily at the slight pain. "Killjoy."

Stiles leaned in to kiss Derek a little more deeply. He loved it when they talked about their future together.

"You're not allowed to skip school for sex," Derek informed him, even as he held Stiles in place to keep kissing him.

"Why not?" Stiles murmured before kissing him again.

"You'd never go to school," Derek replied, hooking his hands under Stiles' thighs to haul him up.

"One time won't hurt," he said, tightening his thighs around Derek's waist. "We won't make a habit of it."

"Better not," Derek replied with a grin. "Ruin my plans to be your kept man."

"So you're just using me to live a life of luxury?" he teased.
