So the ghost thing was....a thing. A truly disturbing thing that he never wanted to deal with again. Sure, it hadn't caused as quite as much destruction as the nogitsune had but it still had freaked Stiles out and made him feel gross afterwards. And he hadn't even been the one possessed.

He had to go back to school tomorrow 'cause finals started on Monday but he was taking as much time as he could today to make sure Derek was okay. It involved a lot of clinging.

"You have such a way with words," Derek replied with a startled laugh.

"Am I wrong?"

"No." Just ignore how Derek was sighing, though. "It was different. Something I didn't associate with her."

Also, no gaping wounds! Think about it. Two love interests, two stomach wounds.

Stiles frowned, always feeling for Derek when it became obvious how badly Kate screwed with his head. It also felt bad to be compared to her, even favorably. " that's not the only reason you were attracted to me, right?"

"No." Derek sat up, supporting himself on his elbow to frown down at Stiles seriously. No. It's just that--sex wasn't something I wanted to think about for a long time."

Which made being a teenager difficult.

Stiles took a moment to process that before nodding. "Sorry. It's just--I don't know. It's hard being compared."

Derek's eyebrows bunched together and his mouth turned down before he leaned in to kiss Stiles gently. "Don't ever apologize for that. I don't mean to--to compare you to her."

"I know you didn't mean anything by it," he murmured, feeling bad for mentioning anything.

"Doesn't mean I should make you feel--" Derek said, struggling to find the word.

"It's okay," he said, kissing him again.

[justlurkinghere]

"If you asked me before, I wouldn't have believed I could be this happy," Derek muttered, kissing him again.

"Really?" That was both...flattering and kind of sad. Damn it, Derek.

His life was one of sadness and poor choices.

Derek nodded in response, running his thumb over Stiles' jaw. "Yeah. Of course."

Did you see him before? So much awkward lurking.

He smiled again. "You know I'm totally on board with this together forever idea, right?"

[justlurkinghere]

"Forever is a long time," Derek said, but he was smiling.

[robinonadderall]

"Think you can handle it?" he asked.

[justlurkinghere]

"As long as you'll keep me."

They were ridiculous.

"Of course I will." They were so gross. "I'll keep an eye out for classy wedding rings and everything."

Stiles would get a couple of ring pops.

Derek snorted, pinning him to the bed with another kiss. "Please. I'd give you an expensive ring that will make you hate me."

"I wouldn't hate you," he insisted, hands finding their way into Derek's hair again. "So long as it's not tacky."

[justlurkinghere]

Derek smile, shamelessly scent marking him again. "Would something old be alright?"

[robinonadderall]

"Old's even better." 'Cause that would mean Derek hadn't spent a shitload of money on it.

[justlurkinghere]

"Good," Derek replied, way too pleased about that. "I'll just have to ask your dad's permission before I ask."

[robinonadderall]

"Oh my god, no you don't," he said, shaking his head. "Are you a total masochist?"
