Midterms were horrifyingly close and it turned out that you had tests and essays to write before midterms which was extremely unfair. There should be rules against that sort of stuff. It was child abuse!

Oh right, he wasn't a child anymore.

His roommate was wherever he went to in the evenings (Stiles had the feeling he creeped out the guy) which Stiles was thankful for because he needed all the space for studying. His papers were everywhere. The beds, the desks, the floor, the dressers. It was part of a highly scientific system. Even when he shoved the papers off his bed so he could attempt to take a frustrated angry nap it was all part of the system.

Derek rolled his eyes, but there was still humor in his voice. "I have hidden depths."

Stiles smiled. "Okay, break out your laptop and we can Skype."

Derek rolled off the bed to grab the laptop, keeping the phone pinned against his shoulder so he could still listen to Stiles. Like the weirdo he was.

"Alright, I'm going to send the request." And hopefully he got it correct. Because god knows he didn't need to talk to a random stranger.

Hey, Derek got it right on the first try! And if he looked closely he could see that Stiles was growing some stubble. It wasn't on purpose. It was a stress beard in the making.

"Aw, it's your face." He was at the goofy stage of tired at the moment.

"Hey," Derek replied, finally hanging up his cell to look at him. "You look tired."

He just wanted to cuddle him better.

"I am tired," he said. "But I think that's on par for college."

"I think you have some ink on your face too." No, that was facial hair on someone who wasn't part yeti.

"Do I?" Now he was wiping at his face. Good work, Derek.

Derek snickered like the jackass he was. "No roommate?"

"He's off somewhere," Stiles said. "He usually makes himself scarce when I'm hanging around here."

"Roommates can be tough." Especially when they were normal people.

"Pretty sure he thinks I'm a freak that talks in his sleep."

"His loss," Derek replied. "Never bothered me."

Stiles rolled his eyes. "I'm sure it's bothered you before."

"Not when I can wake you up with a blowjob." Thanks, Derek.

Stiles laughed a little. "Well he can't do that."

"I certainly hope not."

He'd be extra scary looking next time he visited.

"He's not my type anyway."

[justlurkinghere]

"What's your type?" Derek asked, shifting the laptop so he could lay on the bed with it.

"Dark haired guys with beards," he said. "Especially if they're an overly romantic asshole with a high sex drive."

"Sounds hard to find. You tried online dating?"

[robinonadderall]

"Never," he said. "You recommend it?"

"There could be some weirdos on there," Derek replied thoughtfully. "But I can see if I know anyone that might be your type."

"That's very kind of you," Stiles said, trying not to laugh. "I'd appreciate any help you can give me."

"I can send them up once you're less busy. See how things go."

God they were awful and sappy.
