College was...college. After two years in Fandom it was kind of a slap of reality to have actual homework assignments again and, you know, having to study and stuff. It was kind of nice to have something that normal in his life again. But he was lonelier than he thought he would have been here. Then again, he hadn't been putting in a huge amount of effort to be social.

Maybe the lonely aspect of it put him on high alert for when somebody actually was paying attention to him. He had spent the morning getting the distinct feeling he was being watched while he was walking from class to class and once or twice he thought he caught a glimpse of a familiar leather jacket. At first Stiles just thought it was his head messing with him because Derek couldn't--surely he wouldn't...it had only been a week, after all...

...who was Stiles kidding, yes he would. When his last class let out and he, yet again, caught a glimpse of a familiar outline in the distance he pulled his phone out of his pocket and dialed Derek's number. This was ridiculous, his life was ridiculous.

Of course Stiles was going along with that. No need to stop by his dorm room, he'd take his book bag with him.

Did the bag make you feel old, Derek? Was that weird?

Because that's what he was doing.

"Such a gentleman."

"Can't have you be tired."

[robinonadderall]

Stiles smirked. "You better not be all talk."

"Have I ever been?" Derek asked. And yes, he was sniffing out the jeep and leading them there.

"Could have lost your touch in the last week."

[justlurkinghere]

"Are you offering to give me a refresher course?"

Oh god, bad college pick up lines.

Stiles groaned as he attempted to fish his keys out of his pocket. "That was awful."

[justlurkinghere]

"I must really be out of practice," Derek said seriously. "You should fix that."

[robinonadderall]

"And how do you suggest I do that?" he asked. Stiles had no idea where they were going but he was still gonna drive. Because his baby, that's why.

As soon as he was in the jeep, Derek grabbed Stiles by the shirt for a less chaste kiss. Because the keep was okay for that. Somehow.

Stiles nearly dropped his keys onto the floor when he flailed from the shirt grabbing. He got with the kissing program pretty quickly afterwards though.

"I missed you," Derek muttered, biting gently at Stiles' jaw once he was satisfied the kiss had been enough to express his feelings. "Everything was too quiet."

"I missed you too," he murmured. "It's hard to sleep without you there."

"You getting enough, though?"

[robinonadderall]

He nodded. "Yeah. It's just--just hard to get used to, I guess."

"You can call me," Derek replied. "Anytime."

[robinonadderall]

"I know," he mumbled. "You can call me too."

[justlurkinghere]

"We're ridiculous, aren't we?"

[robinonadderall]

"Yeah we really are," he said with a little laugh.

[justlurkinghere]

Derek kissed him again. "Hotel isn't far. We can order pizza or something after."

[robinonadderall]

"Sounds like a plan," he said with an approving nod. "Ordering food after makes it seem less like a skeevy motel hook up."

That earned him a snort. "You'd never be that to me."

[robinonadderall]

"That's the sweetest thing you've ever said to me, honeybunch," he said as he started the jeep.
