Semi-Creepy Mansion | Monday Morning

The pizza had been eaten, there might have been a child or two traumatized by Stiles' choice in movies but at least there hadn't been any injuries despite the fact it was a bunch of children inside the creeper mansion. All in all it was a pretty successful sleepover for one that Stiles was half-responsible for.

Sadly now there was a bunch of adults and one teenager to deal with a morning after. Surely this won't be awkward. Or painful. Derek was involved so it might end up being painful.

"If you're gonna kick me too, make it the left leg," Stiles said in response to the glare. "Derek already got the right one."

"I'm not going to kick you." And not just because he didn't want to be like Derek. "I'm sure this weekend wasn't your fault. I just... wouldn't have expected to end up here, of all the places in town."

"It was a little surprising," Stiles admitted. "It's weird that tiny Derek is capable of making friends."

"Yeah, well, tiny Derek wasn't a violent jerk. I guess it's good to know people all go back to normal after this sort of thing." Clint gave Stiles a weak smile. "You're lucky you didn't get hit with it too. It was nice of you to watch out for everyone."

"It's sort of a compulsion with me," Stiles said. "I help whether people want it or not."

That got a bigger, more genuine smile out of Clint. "I know how that compulsion goes. Do you think a certain someone needs a lot of help?"

"Oh he needs more help than I'm capable of giving." Because he was not the therapist Derek so desperately needed. "But I do my best to keep him from alienating the whole town."

"He doesn't seem to want many friends." Because Clint could totally talk in that department. "Are you sure it's safe for you to be mixed up with him?"

"He's actually gonna help another version of me in the future, believe it or not," Stiles said. "And he's way less intimidating than the other Derek I know, so there's that."

Because the other Derek was an alpha turning every teenage outcast in town into superhuman beasts.

Clint had a difficult time believing Derek could help anyone, but he couldn't think of any reason Stiles would lie to him. "Well, I still say that if you run into any trouble with him, you should let someone know, in case he becomes more intimidating, or something."
