It was just Stiles and Derek in the house today since his dad was at work and Scott and Lydia had decided to focus more on trying to solve the nogitsune problem now that they were sure Stiles was fine. Stiles had spent the morning putting together a bag for Eichen House, though he wasn't quite sure what was appropriate for a stay at a place like that. Did he bring his own clothes? He had no idea.

Once that was taken care of he decided to finish up some loose ends before he got his phone taken away from him, curling up in bed and dialing Kitty's number. He figured he owed her an explanation.

"Well it's the worst thing I've been through as far as this supernatural stuff goes," he admitted. Couldn't really say it was the worst thing that's happened to him ever. At least not yet. "I just want it to be over."

"If it's escalating, I think that means the end of it is near," Kitty said. "That's usually how it goes, anyway."

Genre-savvy was one of her tropes.

"Great," he said dryly. "Also means it's probably going to get worse before it gets better."

"Maybe." Almost definitely. "But focus on the 'it gets better' part for now."

"I'll try," he said. "I'll be in contact when I can."

Which might not be for awhile.

"Okay. Take care of yourself, all right?" For as much as he was able in this situation, anyway.

"I'll do my best," he said. "You do the same."

They really only needed one person going through trauma at a time."
