A Car Somewhere In The South | Friday Evening

Visiting college campuses had seemed like a good idea at first. Bringing Derek along for the ride seemed like an even better one. However Stiles was greatly beginning to regret both decisions after a few hours in a car that was not his beloved jeep and after realizing that the South was really boring. Really, really boring.

"We should have just taken a portal."

And he really wanted to asked the incredibly needy and awkward question of 'why?' but that would be pushing it.

It was a good thing he didn't ask 'cause Stiles wasn't sure he'd be able to answer without giving feelings stuff away.

Instead he pulled out his phone and loaded up his googlemaps app. "Looks like we've still got a little less than six hours ahead of us."

Look, Derek, there were certain consequences and responsibilities when it came to crushing on the town nutjob.

"Okay, good," Stiles said, still kind of concerned with Derek's new non-reactions to this sort of stuff. "Glad we've got that covered."
