So Stiles was now wisdom-tooth free. It was great to no longer be in pain, even though he was in for a hell of a time when it came to recovery. Luckily his oral surgeon had provided him with enough happy time drugs to keep him from being too miserable while he healed.

Not that he cared about that right now. He was still riding the anesthesia train and had been on cloud nine since Derek had driven him home.

"Derek, this door's broken," Stiles said, slurring his words as he pawed at the door handle. "I want to go inside, the dog's in there, I can hear him! Puppy Joeeeeeeeeee, your daddies are home! Open the door!"

Stiles narrowed his eyes because his Very Important Question had not been answered. "Like, if I rubbed my face against your neck would that keep English teachers away?"

"What."

"Isn't that what it is?" Stiles asked, squeezing his eyes shut for a moment like that would make things clearer for him. "Like marking your territory in a non-gross way?"

"Is your English teacher a werewolf?" Derek settled on once he managed to thoroughly repress Stiles 'marking his territory'.

"Who knows!" Stiles said, flailing his hands up in the air. "I'm talking about all English teachers everywhere."

Derek just stared. Because none of this made any sense. "Why?"

Stiles stared at Derek for a long moment. "I love Jell-O."

"I'll just go. Make Jell-O," Derek ventured, taking the time back away from Stiles again.

And then Stilea would stop being confusing.

"Put the ice pack on."

He wasn't confusing, you were confusing!

"Fine," Stiles groaned, putting the ice pack on his face before flopping back on the couch.

Derek put the TV on, clutching the remote like a shield. He hoped Stiles was a big fan of Toddlers and Tiaras, because it was on marathon. And Derek took the remote with him to make the stupid Jell-O.

On the plus side, the kitchen also had the list of post surgery advice. Expect to get checked on every ten minutes, Stiles.

This was cruel and unusual punishment for wanting to scent mark you for your protection, isn't it? Luckily Stiles was too doped out to complain about the show Derek chose.

He wouldn't be exactly quiet while laying on the couch but at least it seemed he was talking to himself or the dog for the most part.

Don't worry, Derek, at some point soon you'd get to give him Oxycotin and he'd fall asleep and drool all over your couch.

It would be glorious silence followed by more horror because he was drugging a teenager to be left alone. But, for now, Derek was listening in to the Stiles/Puppy Joe conversation just in case something happened.

Or the English teacher thing was explained.

"Ice pack off!" Yeah, he was timing that shit.

"Don't boss me!" The ice pack came off anyway.

Damn right it did. Because Derek was the boss of this relationship.

Totally the boss.

"And drink your water." Don't drool it on the couch or the dog, for the love of god.

"Why?" Being a little shit to the guy making him food wasn't the greatest idea but it distracted him from the TV.

"Because you'll get dehydrated and die." Not really, but still. Drink your damn water.

"That sounds like something my dad would say," Stiles said before taking a sip of water. "Speaking of, my dad's coming for that parents thingy and I think he wants to talk to you."

Drugged up Stiles was a lot nicer than regular Stiles because regular Stiles hadn't planned on saying anything.

"I didn't tell him we had sex though!" That was supposed to be comforting.

Derek took a moment to hit his head against the counter. "We didn't have sex!"

Stop even thinking it!

"I don't know, I remember some sexy type things very clearly." He had a good imagination but it wasn't quite that good.

"No you don't!" This was an argument Derek was very happy to be in the other room for.

"Uh...okay!" If Derek said so then it was probably true. Didn't stop Stiles from talking to Puppy Joe about it. "It was a hella realistic sex dream then...though I guess me topping should have given that away..."

That whimpering sound? That would be Derek being unable to escape the babble.

Because you torture him by talking about the weekends that never happened, Stiles. Torture.

"Drink. Your water," Derek said, face against the counter top.

"I can only drink so much at a time, Derek!" Stiles shouted. "I'll drown!"

"Again."

Derek glared at the pan of Jell-o for making care about the life of an idiotic teenager. Then shoved it into the fridge to set so that he could glare at Stiles in person.

Oh, and glare he did.

"You look upset." Stiles thought he still looked hot like that but he had just enough of a filter to keep that to himself.

He took a sip of his water because now he felt like doing what Derek asked. Now that he feared for his life.
