Sort of Creepy Mansion | Night

It was just another evening of "No, we can't have nice and normal things" for Stiles. He had left Derek to his own devices for most of the day, going back to the dorms and calling Scott to tell him about the hilarity of what happened and to ask if Deaton could send more mountain ash because, wow, he was going through it fast.

Eventually he got back to the mansion and put up a ring of mountain ash around the place to keep Derek inside during the full moon. He did sort of take Derek's word that he'd be fine tonight, but he didn't want older Derek killing him later if that had been a lie.

At least Stiles was nice enough to keep Derek company instead of leaving him in a strange house alone all night.

Oh, older Derek was going to murder him anyway. Because he was a surly lil' man who hated anyone having fun.

He yelled at kids to get off his lawn, Stiles. In his first appearance. You know it's true.

"Of course I showed up," Stiles said. "What, did you think you scared me off or something?"

"It's part of my charm." Or he was a spaz with ADHD. Either/or. "How're things? Feel like ripping me to shreds or anything?"

"No more than I did before." Helpful Derek was helpful.

"Charming as always," Stiles said, rolling his eyes. "The circle's in place so you're stuck here for awhile. Figured I'd warn you before you tried to run out and hit the barrier like you're running into a plate glass door."

"More like an electric fence," Derek replied, wandering back to the pizza. He might have eaten one already.

"Both invoke thoughts of pain and embarassment," he said. "And before you ask, yes, I've run into both in the past."

"I'll try to look shocked?"

[robinonadderall]

"Hey!" Goddamn Hale sass. "You barely know me, you're not allowed to make assumptions like that."

No matter how true they were.

Derek just shrugged at that, pulling his own personal box of pizza closer. "Is it accurate?"

"None of your damn business." So that was a yes. "The pizza is supposed to be for sharing, you know."

"Shouldn't you be setting stuff up for playing?" Before Derek got growly over his food. His.

"Werewolves," Stiles muttered as he shrugged the backpack he brought off his shoulders. "I will be getting a slice of that pizza, just so you know."

"I'll leave a slice!" Ahahahaha, never. You'll pry it from his cold, dead, clawed fingers.

"Dude I don't even need to be a werewolf to know you're lying to me," Stiles said. "Just for that, I will show no mercy during Mario Kart."

"Bring it," Derek shot back, putting the pizza to the side. Because he was full. Not because he wanted Stiles to have any.

Sure, Derek, suuuuure.

"You will regret challenging me," Stiles said with a serious nod. "Just be glad Mike at least fixed this place enough that we can do this, otherwise we'd have to talk to each other or something."

The horror.

"...you didn't want to do that, right?" OH GOD, EVEN WEE DEREK FOUND THAT TERRIBLE.

"That would be inviting you to claw my face off, so no." Hey, he knew how annoying he could be.

"Probably." See, they agreed on something here! "You know other werewolves then?"

[robinonadderall]

"Tons," Stiles said as he busied himself with hooking up his game console. "My best friend got bitten and it sort of opened the door to all sorts of werewolf stuff."

"Weird. He's not here then?" To mock Derek soooo much.

[robinonadderall]

"Nope, he's back home. Wishes he was here now though." To mock, Derek, yes. "He's a good guy, even if he isn't as composed during the full moon as you are."

"He's new to it," Derek replied with a shrug. "We have chains in case someone can't control it right away."

STOP BEING REASONABLE, DEREK. IT WAS WRONG AND WEIRD.

Stiles looked over at Derek, looking a little surpised because, yeah, reasonable Derek was weird. "I tried handcuffing him to a radiator once. He got out. This was before I learned the mountain ash trick, obviously."

"Well, humans can get out of those."

Stiles rolled his eyes. "Excuse me for not having a multitude of bondage gear to choose from, I'm only sixteen."

"I'm fifteen." AND HE HAD ALL THE BONDAGE GEAR.

"Yeah, well, you're strange," Stiles said, handing Derek one of the game controllers. "I get dibs on being Peach."

She was cute, okay?

"...not my first pick," Derek assured him. "She's all yours."

"You're gonna feel real dumb when she laps whatever sorry ass character you pick," Stiles said, sitting down on the floor. "Let me guess...Bowser?"

"Shut up, he's a good character."

[robinonadderall]

"When people pick Bowser I always think they're compensating for something." That's right, Stiles, tease the werewolf during the full moon.

"And picking Princess Peach means..."

Just be glad he didn't know the 40 Year Old Virgin well enough to know the 'Wanna know how I know you're gay' line.

"I'm a feminist," he said. "The Spice Girls taught me right."

"And you want to wear a dress," Derek added. Because he was a teenage boy, damn it.

"Oh ho ho, wolf's got jokes tonight," Stiles said. "You will be getting hit with all the turtle shells. All of them."

"Blue shell me and I'm clawing your face off." No, he wsouldn't. But it was a good threat.

"Oh you don't have to worry about that," Stiles said. "The blue shell only attacks winners and you, Derek? Not a winner."

That earned him a middle finger. Because Derek was too good to respond with his words.

If that hand was more clawy than normal, it was probably a sign that the moon was out.

"Winner enough to kick your ass."

"We'll seeeee," Stiles sing-songed. "Any preference to which course I kick your ass on? I'm partial to Rainbow Road."

Because he liked to torture himself.

"Really not helping the idea you want to wear a dress," Derek shot back, settling in for premium leaning space. Because leaning to the side kept your character from toppling off the road.

[robinonadderall]

"You bring that up again and I'll start to think you want to see me in a dress," he said. "Not that I blame you, I do have some pretty impressive legs."

He was totally picking Rainbow Road for that comment, Derek. Enjoy flying off the road.

"Bring it, Princess Stiles." Yeah, he was going to end up falling off so much.

And probably fuzzy in rage.

And Stiles will risk his own life by laughing at Derek. Like you do.

"All right, Thumper, try not to cry too much when you lose," Stiles said as he hit the button to start the race. It was so much easier to tease weetiny Derek than regular Derek.
