Stiles had somehow managed to survive four years of college without flunking out and without being killed by some supernatural being. The former was surprising to him; the latter to everyone else. The ceremony was done, his father was safely on a plane home and the only thing left was existential dread of entering the workforce.

Well. Derek and the dog were in the house too.

"Am I supposed to be apologetic about that?"

"No," he admitted, tugging Stiles in for another kiss. "I am going to be your trophy husband after all."

"You are," he said, kissing Derek again. "Everyone at my hypothetical office is gonna be so jealous."

"Damn right," he said, deepening the kiss slowly.

"We just have to make that husband part legal," he murmured. "That way you can officially be called trophy husband."

Derek made a very pleased noise at that because he was a weirdo like that. "Now that you're graduated, we can get everything in order for that."

"As if you don't already have everything in order."

[justlurkinghere]

That was true.

"You get to pick the cake flavor."

[robinonadderall]

"Not red velvet," he said. "Or lemon. I'm cool with anything but those two."

[justlurkinghere]

"We'll have a tasting," he said, frowning in confusion. "Why those two?"

"They're gross." Duh, Derek.

[justlurkinghere]

"But why." You know, asked the guy who'd make the cake bacon flavored if he could.

[robinonadderall]

"Red velvet is too chocolately," he said. "And lemon is too lemony."

So there.

Derek rolled his eyes maturely at that. "You're just going to pick chocolate peanut butter."

[robinonadderall]

"Do you not like chocolate peanut butter?" he asked.

[justlurkinghere]

"I don't hate it," he teased.

[robinonadderall]

"Then there won't be an argument when I pick it out," he said, kissing Derek again.

"I said you get to pick it, so you get to pick it," Derek said, disturbing the dog as he rolled to keep kissing Stiles back.

Stiles chuckled, pulling back from the kiss for a moment. "You're so mean to that dog."

"You spoil him," Derek said, tilting his head to add another hickey to the collection.

[robinonadderall]

"Do not," he said, closing his eyes and enjoying that.

"I've literally seen you carry him to the food dish," Derek said, nipping at his throat.

Stiles smiled. "Like you're not going to spoil our kids."

[justlurkinghere]

"...I am not." Hope you like being the stern dad, Stiles. Because Derek wouldn't be.

Stiles burst out laughing. "Dude, I've seen you with them."
