Beacon Hills High School | Morning
Stiles |
Okay Stiles just had to be in town to see his epic prank on Coach go down. He just hoped Scott had done everything to a T. It had to be perfect. For Coach's birthday. He deserved it. Not being noticed at the school was easy enough, and he managed to find Scott just outside the school. Where he was talking with the twins. Ugh. |
Scott |
"You back at school?" Scott wasn't exactly sure how old the twins were but they looked...teenagery. Kind of. |
Ethan |
Ethan shook his head. "Just want to talk." |
Stiles |
"Huh, that's kind of a change of pace for you guys seeing as you're usually just hurting, maiming, killing." He had feelings about this, okay? |
Aiden |
Aiden ignored him. "We need an alpha, you need a pack." |
Stiles |
"Yeah, absolutely not," Stiles said. "That's hilarious though." |
Scott |
"Why would I say yes?" Scott asked. Though he was being nicer about this than Stiles. |
Aiden |
"You have strength but we'll make you more powerful," Aiden reminded him. "There's no reason to say no." |
Isaac |
"I can think of one." What? He had wanted to see Coach flip out too. "Like the two of you holding Derek's claws while Kali impaled Boyd. In fact, I don't know why we're not impaling them right now." |
Aiden |
Aiden glared at Isaac, his eyes flashing blue. "You wanna try?" |
Scott |
Scott grabbed Isaac by the wrist before he could do anything stupid. "I'm sorry, but they don't trust you. And neither do I." |
Stiles |
Stiles took Scott by the shoulder and let him into the school because the conversation with the twins was clearly done with. Fuck those guys. "Good decision, buddy. Good alpha decision." |
Scott |
"I hope so," Scott said, looking past Stiles' shoulder and over at Kira who was trying to get her locker open. |
Stiles |
"No, you know so," Stiles said, following Scott's gaze. "What are you looking at? The girl?" |
Scott |
"Her? Who her?" Scott looked down at Stiles' hands. "Why are you putting eggs in my locker?" |
Stiles |
"It's Halloween, don't change the subject," Stiles said. "Her meaning Kira." |
Scott |
"No. I mean, yeah," he said. "She's okay. She's new." |
Stiles |
"So? Ask her out." Such a good bro, trying to get his friend laid. |
Scott |
"Now?" he asked. "Right now?" |
Stiles |
"Right now! You are the alpha, okay? You are the apex predator. Everybody wants you, you know?" Stiles said. "You're like the hot girl that every guy wants." |
Scott |
Scott looked amazed. "I'm the hot girl?" |
Stiles |
"You are the hottest girl. I'm dating an alpha, I know what I'm talking about," Stiles said. Down the hallway Stiles caught a glimpse of a police uniform. "I'll be right back." |
Isaac |
Isaac who had not been stalking Allison, really, finally caught up to everybody. "What's going on?" |
Scott |
Scott grinned. "I'm the hot girl!" |
Isaac |
... "Yes, you are." |
Stiles |
Stiles managed to track his dad down in the school hallway without falling on his face. His dad didn't look surprised to see him there. At all. "What's going on?" Stiles asked, noticing Agent McCall was lurking around the hallway too. |
Sheriff Stilinski |
"Do I even want to know why you're in town?" Sheriff Stilinski asked. |
Stiles |
"Coach's birthday, don't change the subject," Stiles said. "What's happening?" |
Sheriff Stilinski |
Sheriff Stilinski sighed. "We're looking for a man by the name of William Barrow." |
Stiles |
"Wait a minute, the William Barrow?" Stiles asked excitedly. "The Shrapnel Bomber? Spotted nearby?" |
Sheriff Stilinski |
"A little closer than nearby, actually." |
Agent McCall |
Agent McCall picked a great time to walk by with two deputies. "I want somebody to check the basement and the entrances. I don't want anybody in or out of there." |
Stiles |
Stiles lifted his eyebrows. "Dad, what's really going on?" |
Sheriff Stilinski |
"Barrow was at Beacon Hills Memorial for surgery. He escaped the operating room after he went under anesthesia; ending up killing one of the doctors," Sheriff Stilinski said. "Oh, and just when they opened him up they found a tumor filled with live flies." |
Stiles |
"Live flies?" Stiles repeated. "Under any other circumstance would actually be kind of awesome." |
Sheriff Stilinski |
That earned Stiles an eye roll. "We have reason to believe Barrow might be here." |
Stiles |
"Why?" he asked. "What reasons?" |
Sheriff Stilinski |
"Apparently Barrow was targeting people with glowing eyes," the Sheriff said. "Sound familiar?" |
Stiles |
Oh did it ever. "I need to find Scott." |
Stiles |
Stiles had found Lydia before he had found Scott and now the two of them were searching the school together for him. He felt like maybe he should text Derek because serial killer loose in the school seemed like something he probably would want to know but he held off for now. "Where the hell is he?" |
Lydia |
Lydia was almost frantic going down the hallway. Then again, she had been hearing weird buzzing noises since she walked in the school. Like flies everywhere. She stopped in her tracks when she noticed something out the window. "The police are leaving, why are they leaving?" |
Stiles |
Stiles looked out the window as well. "They must be clearing the building and grounds which means he's not here." |
Lydia |
"He has to be here!" Lydia insisted. "He has to be here! That sound, the buzzing I've been hearing--it's getting louder." |
Stiles |
The look on Lydia's face told Stiles that she really truly believed that. And he had learned a long time ago to trust Lydia on these things. "Okay. Okay, we'll find my dad, come on." |
Sheriff Stilinski |
If one could put Gilligan cuts in threads, there would be one right now. "Yes, we're leaving," Sheriff Stilinski said. "We've got an eye witness that puts Barrow by the train station." |
Stiles |
"Dad, please, just--Lydia said that he's still here." Lydia who was currently a few feet away pretending she couldn't hear this conversation. |
Sheriff Stilinski |
"Did she see him?" He guessed no. |
Stiles |
"Not exactly, no. Actually not at all," Stiles said. "But she has a feeling. A supernatural feeling." |
Sheriff Stilinski |
Sheriff Stilinski looked over at where Lydia was pretending to be casual. "She wasn't on the chessboard." |
Stiles |
"She is now." Sorry, he forgot to update it. |
Sheriff Stilinski |
"Kanima?" |
Stiles |
"Banshee, actually." God their lives were ridiculous. |
Sheriff Stilinski |
"Oh god, really?" What the hell? |
Stiles |
Stiles could tell he was losing footing in this argument. "I know, I know how it sounds but basically it means she can sense when someone is close to death." |
Sheriff Stilinski |
"Can she sense that I'm about to kill you?" He was not having any of this, Stiles! |
Stiles |
... "I actually don't know." |
Sheriff Stilinski |
Oh there was such a sigh then. Such a sigh. "I'm not saying I don't believe but right now I'm going with eyewitness over banshee. We're leaving a few deputies here but the school's on lockdown until 3pm, nobody comes in or out," Sheriff Stilinski said, already backing up to leave. "Buddy that's the best I got right now. That's the best I can give you, Stiles." |
Stiles |
"Leaving me here that is not the--that is the worst!" The worst! |
Isaac |
Stiles had managed to find Scott who found Isaac and the twins and now everybody was on board with the "find the serial killer" thing. Really, Isaac should never come back here. Ever. Good things never happened. |
Scott |
Stiles and Lydia were covering the upper floors of the school, leaving the werewolves going from the bottom up. Scott had been lucky enough to get Barrow's surgical gown from his mother. "Lydia thinks that he's still here even though the cops searched the whole school. Other than that we've got only one thing," he said, lifting up the gown. "Our sense of smell." |
Isaac |
The group took a big whiff of Barrow's clothes (gross) and spread out in the basement since the school was huge. The twins took one end of the basement while Scott and Isaac took the other. If everything went to plan everybody would meet up in the middle of the school. "This is how it's gonna be now?" Isaac asked as they walked along the dark corridors of the boiler room. "We trust them?" |
Scott |
"Just because I'm letting them help doesn't mean I trust them." But he did have a firm belief in giving people chances. Even if they used to kill people |
Isaac |
"Yeah well I don't trust them either. Or like them. In fact I hate them and I seriously want them to die." He was not exaggerating at all. |
Scott |
"Well if Barrow's actually here and he's got a plan to kill people with glowing eyes you might get what you want." Of course every werewolf would be dead but still... |
Lydia |
Upstairs, Lydia and Stiles were searching for Barrow in the art room. What chance they had against him was not mentioned between the two of them. "Scott and Isaac are in the basement, right?" |
Stiles |
Stiles nodded. "Yeah with Ethan and Aiden. The plan is to meet in the middle in the boiler room and the move up to other floors." |
Lydia |
"Stiles." Lydia's eyes widened at the realization she had. "All of the wolves--all of the ones with glowing eyes--are in the basement at the boiler room." |
Stiles |
"Oh my god." They were so dumb sometimes. "An engineer could use the boiler room to blow up the whole school." |
Lydia |
"We've got to get them out of there." |
Stiles |
"We've got to get everybody out of here," Stiles said. "I've got an idea. And I've always wanted to do this, so two-for-one." |
Lydia |
Turns out, Stiles had always wanted to pull the fire alarm. Lydia had to admit that it was doing the job, but felt a little uncomfortable with the fact they were standing out in the open. Like a teacher could just come out and see--just like right now. |
Stiles |
Stiles was getting too much enjoyment out of pulling the fire alarm and watching people flee. He didn't even noticed Finstock was behind him until he saw the look on Lydia's face. "Uh..." Yeah, he had nothing. |
Coach Finstock |
Finstock took Stiles by the ear (child abuse be damned!) and dragged him outside. "Pulling a fire alarm on Mischief Night is one thing, doing it while there's a mass murderer nearby is insane! If I were four years younger I'd punch you!" |
Stiles |
"What." No, really. "Coach, that doesn't make any sense." |
Coach |
"Well it does to me!" With that, Coach wandered off. Mostly because he wasn't quite sure what to do to punish Stiles and keep him on the track team at the same time. Yeah he still had no idea Stiles and Isaac didn't go to school there anymore. |
Lydia |
Lydia grabbed Stiles by the wrist and dragged him along until they caught up with the werewolves outside. "Anything?" |
Aiden |
Aiden shook his head. "We didn't find anything." |
Scott |
"Not even a scent," Scott added. |
Stiles |
"It's 3 o'clock so school's over. If there was a bomb wouldn't he have set it off by now?" Stiles asked. "Is everybody safe?" |
Lydia |
Lydia shook her head, looking visibly shaken. She knew that Barrow was in the school. She absolutely knew it. "I--I don't know." |
