Stiles had put enough together from radio and vague texts to know that Derek had not been having a very good week. So it was time for an impromptu date. That mostly consisted of him buying a few pizzas and showing up at the house. Romance wasn't his forte, okay?

The fact that one of those pizzas was meat lovers was romantic enough, okay?

[For Derek and anybody else in the house/feels like stopping by]

Derek gave both Stiles and the pizza a suspicious look. Because nice things were but a magical illusion to those from Beacon Hills. "What's this for?"

"To eat?" Sheesh, Derek, way to be paranoid.

His paranoia was normal!

Derek nodded, eyeing the box with the meat lovers in it. Hungrily. "Thanks."

"Welcome," he said, placing the pizzas on the coffee table. "How have you been?"

"Been better," he admitted cautiously. In case this was another start of a fight. "What about you?"

"I heard some stuff on radio." Because no he did not want to talk about how his sleeping had only been getting worse lately. "Be helpful if I had a clearer picture of what happened."

Damn it, Stiiiiiiles. Why couldn't they talk about that?

Derek sighed, looking away as he took a seat. "Kitty is upset with me for not telling her about us."

And Barton, he felt, went without needing to say.

"Well it was a secret," he said. "Not telling people helps when keeping a secret."

Derek shrugged. "I know." He sighed, sitting back against the couch. "Do you think we should have told people?"

"You could have been fired for it," Stiles said, sitting down next to Derek. "So, no, I think keeping it between us for awhile was the right choice. You know Clint would have had a problem with it and asking Kitty to keep it a secret from him wouldn't have been right."

All of those were valid points. How dare you, Stiles.

Derek looked at him out of the corner of his eye. "You brought me pizza."

He shrugged. "Seemed like you were having a bad week."

That was getting you such a fond look, Stiles. It was just gross.

"Thanks," Derek said, voice going all funny.

[robinonadderall]

"It's just pizza, Derek." Though he probably smelled pretty pleased with himself.

Have you met Derek? Basic affection makes him stupid.

"Shut up," Derek muttered, grabbing Stiles' hand for a quick squeeze before leaning forward to grab a slice.

"So what did Clint want with you?" Oh there was no Mr. Barton anymore. He was an adult, damn it!

"Tell me to make up with Kitty and not to hurt you," Derek muttered, downing a slice in record time.

It was like he had a hollow leg.

"Those kind of warnings really aren't needed." Considering Derek was pretty good at worrying about that himself.

"Expected though." Because look at that odd couple!

[robinonadderall]

"Because I'm so weak and need protecting, right?" Why hadn't anybody given him warnings to not hurt Derek? Unfair.

"Because you're young," Derek corrected. Also because Derek looked like a serial killer.

Oh god, he was thinking about the age difference again.

"I'm not that much younger than you," he said with an eye roll.

Derek was on slice three at this point. Which was... something.

"Well, maybe they just like you better."

[robinonadderall]

"Of course they don't like me better. Well, except for Clint," Stiles said. "You're gonna choke if you don't slow down."

He was eating away his emotions!

"Barton also liked Kate better." FYI.
