Room 329 | Saturday Evening
It was your average evening for Stiles. He was sprawled out on his bed, surfing the internet and deciding whether to look at youtube videos of kittens or guys hurting themselves while doing stupid stunts. It was relaxing and in no way traumatizing (Three Minute Dates counted as traumatizing) or dangerous.
"This better be more important than a kitten encountering a deer," Stiles said in lieu of a greeting when he answered the phone.
"What?" Any other day and Scott would have wanted to delve deeper into Stiles' rambling but there was no time for that. "Dude, it's Lydia."
Stiles bolted up in bed, sending his laptop crashing to the floor. "Lydia? What's wrong, is she okay?"
"Yeah--I mean, maybe? I don't know," Scott answered. "She woke up."
"She's awake?" Stiles let out a breath he didn't even realize he'd been holding. "She's okay?"
"That's the thing, I really don't know. No one does," Scott said. "She sort of, um, escaped the hospital. Naked. The police have been called but no one's found her yet."
"I'm coming home," Stiles said, scrambling off his bed to pick his laptop off the floor. "I'm getting the next portal into town, just--just--"
"Dude, calm down, I'll find her," Scott said. "I won't let anyone hurt her again."
"Scott, that's great, and I believe that you believe that," Stiles said, only half paying attention as he brought up the Portalocity website, wondering if a portal could handle his jeep. "But I'm coming there and we're finding her together."
"Yeah, I thought that'd be your reaction. I'll see you soon."
Stiles hung up the phone and concentrated on getting a portal and packing a small duffle full of clothes and his laptop. Luckily he still kept plenty of clothes back home. Before he left he scribbled a quick note to his roommate.

Leaving town for a few days. Long story, girl I love is missing and wandering around naked somewhere. Don't masturbate near my stuff.
