Stiles blew his gift giving load on their anniversary last month but he still wanted to do something for Derek for the holiday. So he was making breakfast (yes, he could do that much). It wasn't as pretty as other people's breakfasts but he was 99.9% sure nobody would die from eating it. Which was something.

"Yeah nobody is gonna believe that," Stiles said, reaching for a plate so he could get pancakes for himself. "Even strangers wouldn't believe that."

"I'm so not giving you flowers now." Too late, they were already ordered.

Stiles grinned. "Aww, you bought me flowers?"

"It's Valentine's Day. Of course I did."

"Right, we need to get the cliches out of the way," he teased. "Are there chocolates involved too? Maybe a teddy bear?"

"Do you want a giant teddy bear?" Derek asked, helping out by grabbing syrup. Romantic syrup.

Stiles pretended to think about that for a moment. "I feel like it'd get eaten by Puppy Joe."

"Oh, he'd try." And end up using it as a bed.

[robinonadderall]

"Probably not the best idea then," Stiles said, taking a bite of pancake.

[justlurkinghere]

"Not going to feed me?" No, don't be that couple. "I'm crushed."

Stiles lifted his eyebrows. "You want me to feed you?"

"...will you purposely get me messy?" Because he would not put that past him.

Stiles shrugged. So that was probably a yes.

"Take that as a yes. I'll feed myself."

WHICH WASN'T AS ROMANTIC.

Well Stiles was going to try to shove a syrup covered pancake in Derek's face anyway. Take that!

Which made Derek sputter and shove at him. "Not what I meant!"

Sorry, Stiles was too busy laughing at Derek's distress. He had syrup in his beard.

Derek was forced to retaliate with a handful of pancakes to Stiles' face. Forced into it.

"Nooo!" Stiles ducked, trying to avoid the brunt of pancake assault.

Which just meant it went in Stiles' hair. Sorry not sorry.

Look, Stiles started this.

"Derek!" That was just rude. "Now I have to shower!"

[justlurkinghere]

"I'm sorry," Derek replied, really making sure to rub it in and down Stiles' back.

"You are not," he said, trying to scramble away from Derek. "Least romantic Valentine's ever!"

"What? You don't want to share the shower?"

Clearly that was the only reason he'd do this.

"I might punish you by showering by myself for once." That would not happen.
