Stiles really regretted not getting a job this summer. The whole "freedom to do whatever I want" thing got boring a few weeks after his classes ended. He didn't want to spend forever in Fandom and Scott had that job thing going on so Stiles made do with watching daytime television and making copious amounts of ramen.

It was mindnumbingly boring.

He wondered if Derek got the hint that he was bored after texting him constantly for the last week or so.

Stiles rolled his eyes. "Okay, grandpa."

"So, if I become hip, you'll have to dump me?"

He nodded. "Yup, exactly."

Derek considered that, taking a bite of his burger. "You'll have to let me know what's hip so I avoid it."

He was already doing it by saying 'hip'.

Stiles snorted. "You're not gonna need any help from me."

"Is that why we're staying in?" Derek said, looking wounded. Oh so wounded. "You're ashamed of how old I am?"

"More like if we go out in public I know you'll get us arrested for public indecency."

"Will not." Well. Probably not?

"Bullshit," Stiles said. "I know your thing about public sex and we're not about to do it in the town where my dad is in charge."

"Fine. Next time we're on a roadtrip then."

"What?" Derek, you can't just take that back.

"What are we doing on a road trip?" he asked.

"Enjoy ourselves?" That was one way of putting it.

"With public sex."

[justlurkinghere]

"If you're up for it."

[robinonadderall]

"When am I not up for sex?" he asked.

Derek really had to think about that one.

"Point. But that doesn't mean it'll be true always."

"True," he said. "I definitely won't be up for it if it means there's a chance my own father will arrest me."

"So, maybe on the drive back to campus?"

[robinonadderall]

"Possibly," he said with a small smile. "What am I agreeing to here, exactly? More than just car sex, right? You want actual public stuff."
