Yukimura House | Evening
Stiles |
In the scramble between dealing with Allison's death and coming up with a cover story, Stiles had regained consciousness and was whisked away to the Yukimura house. The story Chris had come up with to tell the police involved Lydia, Scott and Isaac only so everyone else had to get out fast. Now Stiles was sitting on the couch in an unfamiliar place feeling like hell, both physically and mentally. Though he felt he deserved the physical part considering Allison was dead because of him. He knew everyone else was going to still work to save him but at the moment he felt like everyone, himself included, would be better off if he just died. |
Derek |
And Derek knew the signs of depressive guilt. Because he'd looked into a mirror a few times since he was sixteen. Which was why he went with, "Don't do anything stupid." |
Stiles |
"I'm not in the physical condition to really do anything." Though he was impressed with the fact that Derek knew what he was thinking about. |
Derek |
Well, it didn't take rocket scientist... Derek sighed. "Can I touch you?" |
Stiles |
"Depends, are you going to kill yourself trying to take my pain?" Guys. Guys. This wasn't your house. |
Derek |
They needed to fight in front of everyone's parents! "No." It was grudging and surly, so most likely true. |
Stiles |
Stiles looked at Derek for a few moments, like he was trying to decide if he was telling the truth or not. He must have felt like Derek was because he nodded at him eventually. |
Derek |
Derek frowned even more at that, but remained silent on the matter. Remember when they communicated and trusted each other? Remember? Then he grabbed Stiles' arm to gently pull him into a hug. |
Stiles |
Gentle was good, and needed, because moving was difficult for him right now. He hugged Derek back as much as he could, feeling a sense of relief. Everything still sucked, and Stiles didn't regret pushing Derek away the last few days but he was grateful to have this for the moment. |
Derek |
"Don't do anything stupid," he repeated fiercely into Stiles' shoulder. |
Stiles |
"You know I can't promise that even on a good day." Stupid decisions were his life! |
Derek |
Derek let out a quickly stifled snort at that. Gallows humor. "Idiot." |
Noshiko |
Good thing they weren't fighting 'cause Noshiko was not about to put up with that in her house. She'd force you all to drink tea. Actually she was going to do that anyway. "Here, drink this," she said, setting a tray down. "It'll relax you. It's chamomile." |
Mr. Yukimura |
"He's not safe here." Oh look, all the Yukimuras decided to join in on the tea fun. |
Noshiko |
Noshiko looked up at her husband. "He's not safe anywhere." |
Derek |
"Then what do you suggest?" Derek asked, trying his best to channel his mother at that moment. |
Kira |
"Allison killed one of them," Kira piped up. "Doesn't that mean something? She killed an Oni." |
Noshiko |
"I'm not sure how." She had been there, and all she saw was an arrow going into the Oni. It shouldn't have worked. |
Kira |
"But she did it. She killed one of them." Keep the positive in mind here! |
Stiles |
"Yeah, and then they killed her," Stiles muttered, squeezing his eyes shut at the thought of it. Allison had been a friend, a good one, and he felt like he didn't have enough time to mourn her properly at the moment. "Allison's dead, and and now I guess the only good thing is that it looks like I'm dying too." |
Derek |
Stiles. Stiles, this helped nothing at all. Derek's mouth went tight as he focused on Mrs. Yukimura rather than Stiles. "How do we stop it." |
Noshiko |
"At this point you need a divine move." Oh look, an episode title. "In the game of Go it's what we call a truly inspired or out of the box move. The nogitsune has had advantage until this point. What you need is a divine move in order to turn the game around." |
Stiles |
That was the dumbest thing Stiles had ever heard of. "So is anyone feeling divinely inspired?" |
Kira |
Kira frowned. "Mom, you said you trapped it in a glass jar, right?" |
Noshiko |
Noshiko shook her head. "It wasn't the jar that trapped it, it was where I buried it." |
Stiles |
"The nemeton." This was all that stupid tree's fault! |
Noshiko |
"A place I don't know much about," Noshiko admitted. |
Kira |
"Who does?" Kira asked. |
Stiles |
Oh Stiles knew that answer well. "Deaton." |
Derek |
"Well, we're screwed." Derek had opinions on the least helpful emissary ever. And that included knowing about the murderous one! |
