The School and the Sheriff's Station and the Argent Home | Morning
Mr. Yukimura |
Mr. Yukimura was an overachiever who went to work on his days off. He had some grading to do and for some reason had not realized that the school was super dangerous. It didn't even seem dangerous at the moment. The most annoying thing right now was a fly buzzing around. A problem solved easily enough--once it landed on his desk he slammed a book on it. |
![]() The nogitsune |
"Coming in on a Saturday. That's dedication." Yeah he had been creepily watching for a few minutes, what of it? And it was Saturday. Totally Saturday. In Beacon Hills time. "Where she hiding them?" |
Mr. Yukimura |
If Mr. Yukimura was startled or afraid he didn't show it. "I'm sorry I don't know what you're talking about." |
The nogitsune |
The nogitsune didn't accept that answer, wandering over to a nearby bookshelf. He flipped open a few books and shook out the pages before just knocking over some to the floor. "Little knives. Daggers. I know what they are," he said. "Physical representation of her tails. However the hell that works." |
Mr. Yukimura |
"Maybe you'd like to do some reading on it," he said calmly. "I could direct you to the section of Japanese myth in the library." |
The nogitsune |
"No, no I'd like to talk to you," the nogitsune said, approaching the man slowly. "The older the tail, the stronger the Oni. Am I right? I know there's one left. I know its the strongest." |
Mr. Yukimura |
"Unfortunately I don't know what you're referring to." Ah no, he would not be giving his wife's last tail to a psycho, thank you. |
The nogitsune |
"You'll talk." The nogitsune reached the man's desk and lifted up a book. The fly Mr. Yukimura had thought he killed rose up and went straight into his mouth. The nogitsune's eyes lit up as he watched the man start choking and gagging on the fly. "They always talk." |
"Eric" |
And hey, look at that! The justice system at work in releasing people on bail. Because why not? Derek, pardon, 'Eric' was waiting around to make sure the other him didn't get framed again. But mostly to check in with the Sheriff. Because he had his priorities and the guy who called him 'son' once was at the top right now. Don't you judge him. |
Deputy Parrish |
Deputy Parrish had the pleasure of releasing the creepy old guy and the creepy twin. Which was more difficult than it looked. He lifted up a huge taser that probably looked familiar to Derek and Eric. "Sorry, but I can't let you walk out with this. It's way above the legal voltage limit." |
Chris |
Chris gave him a displeased look. "I only use it for hunting." |
Derek |
Derek gave "Eric" a look. Hunting. He really said hunting. |
"Eric" |
"It's illegal," Derek said, looking as innocent as he could manage. "I don't think that Deputy Parrish could let you leave with that in good conscience." Because the 'twins' weren't having this. |
Chris |
Oh you were getting such stink eye, Eric. "This property belongs to me and the charges were dropped. Although I'm not exactly sure who's responsible for that." |
Sheriff Stilinski |
"I am," Sheriff Stilinski said. "I'll take care of this, Parrish." |
Deputy Parrish |
Ugh no fair. "Sheriff, I'm not kidding, this thing is a few watts from being a lightsaber." What a nerd. |
Sheriff Stilinski |
"I said I'll take care of it," Sheriff Stilinski said. "If you three would follow me to my office." |
"Eric" |
Derek made eyebrows at the deputy in hopes he'd accidentally break the stun baton. Because that would be awesome if he did. "What did you need?" Derek asked once they were in that office. Which was, thankfully, free of any other embarrassing photos of him. |
Sheriff Stilinski |
Because you haven't given him any new ones, Derek! "The specialist in L.A. says the thing every doctor says when he's trying to avoid a lawsuit. 'We can't say for sure'," he said with a sigh. "And then I spoke with Melissa." He laid down two scans onto his desk. "These are brain scans, my wife's and Stiles. I knew they were similar, but those are the same. Exactly the same." |
Derek |
"And I'm guessing that's not possible," Derek said. |
Sheriff Stilinski |
Sheriff Stilinski shook his head. "Not even remotely." So Stiles wasn't dying. There was some good news. |
"Eric" |
"So, we were tricked." SURPRISING NO ONE. |
Derek |
"But why the trick?" he asked. |
Sheriff Stilinski |
"When I was in the army, an officer told me that if you want to defeat your enemy, you don't take away their courage, you take away their hope." |
Chris |
Chris gave him a rare sympathetic look. "You don't look like a man who gives up hope easily." |
Sheriff Stilinski |
"But Stiles might." The whole Eichen House ordeal was proof of that. "If this thing inside of him--if its using his mother's disease as some sort of psychological trick, then this isn't some sort of fight for his body, it's also a fight for his mind, right? |
"Eric" |
And everything was terrible because this was Beacon Hills. Everything was absolutely terrible. "So, what do we do now?" |
Chris |
Let's just slow things down here before we hop aboard the saving train. "You know he left people severely injured." |
Derek |
Derek frowned. "And some severely dead." |
Sheriff Stilinski |
"That's why I need all of you," Sheriff Stilinski said. "I need people who are experienced in this kind of thing. I need you to help me stop him." |
Chris |
"And by stop him you mean trap him." Chris had his doubts that would work. |
"Eric" |
"Out of your comfort range, Argent?" |
Sheriff Stilinski |
"Nobody is going to hurt Stiles," Sheriff Stilinski said, handing the taser over to Chris. The 'or else' was implied. |
Allison |
After getting a call from her father, Allison had busied herself with laying out every single non-lethal weapon the Argents had to offer. Tasers, smoke bombs, ropes, chains, blunt instruments... "Okay, this is everything non-lethal I could find," she said once everybody arrived. |
Chris |
Chris nodded. "We'll take all of it." |
Sheriff Stilinski |
"What's the plan here?" Sheriff Stilinski said, trying not to look too put off by the amount of weapons the Argents had. |
Chris |
"Our best bet right now is for Derek--one of them--to pick up Stiles' scent at Eichen House, especially if he went through something stressful there." |
"Eric" |
"I'll check the school," Derek said, looking at the weapons and restraints with a blank expression. Because someone had some pretty recent experience with those and an Argent. |
Allison |
Allison nodded. "That's a good idea. We should split up, go to all the places Stiles has been seen. Eichen House, the school, the hospital..." |
Derek |
Derek held up a hand. "Wait, hold on, we did this already. He disappeared, we started looking for him, and then walked right back into a trap at the hospital." |
Chris |
"He's getting us to repeat the same moves," Chris realized. |
"Eric" |
"What other moves are open to us?" Derek muttered. Because they sort of had their backs against a wall. |
Allison |
"We can't stand around and wait for him to come to us," Allison said. "The Oni are coming for him once the sun goes down." |
Sheriff Stilinski |
"Scott's working on that right now with Kira." Meaning he was listening to a long story that had no point. |
Chris |
"That's the problem," Chris said. "We're all trying to out-fox the fox." |
Sheriff Stilinski |
Sheriff Stilinski crossed his arms over his chest. "Listen, I'll understand if anyone wants to back out." |
"Eric" |
Derek was trying very hard to forget he ever heard Chris say 'out-fox a fox', but was having some difficulty there. Now he could never take the man seriously again. "Not happening." |
Derek |
"I'm not going to be the first wolf to run from a fox." Oh god can we please stop with the fox jokes? |
Chris |
"And I'm apparently carrying a lightsaber." Parrish was such a nerd. |
Allison |
There was no way Allison was backing out either. "Dad, it's you and Derek at Eichen House, me and the sheriff at the hospital--" She looked over at Stiles' Derek. "And you're at the school." |
Chris |
Chris waited for people to start to leave before pulling the gun he always kept on him and making sure it was loaded. |
Derek |
That earned a bitch face. "Making sure you have a few lethal options, just in case?" |
Chris |
"I like to prepare for the worst." |
