Beacon Hills | Night

Cora had a room at the hospital and Derek was in there with her, so Stiles felt okay taking a call from Scott out in the hallway. He wasn't sure what was wrong with Cora but he was sure whoever was behind it would come back to finish the job at some point.

Scott had more darach news, which was never a good thing.

Scott McCall
"It's not guardians--it's philosophers. Allison and her father just found Mr. Westover." So much for the Argents not hunting anymore.

Stiles Stilinski
"That makes sense," Stiles said. "Tara, she wasn't always a cop, she used to teach middle school."

Scott McCall
"Then the last one is gonna be another teacher."

Stiles Stilinski
Made sense, unless there was a professional philosopher around. "Yeah, but there's dozens of them, Scott, and they're all headed home."

Scott McCall
Scott was silent for a few moments, like he was thinking about something. Then he replied with, "No, no they're not, they're all going to the recital."

Stiles Stilinski
"Oh god, that's right. Okay, okay, okay, I'll meet you at the school in a bit," Stiles said. "I need to try to convince my dad of the werewolf thing again."

Stiles hung up on Scott and made his way down the hallways of the hospital until he could find his dad. "Okay, Dad, what did you see the night at the bank when Scott was trying to save Deaton?"

Sheriff Stilinski
Oh god, not again. "Nothing." Nothing at all.

Stiles Stilinski
"Dad, you saw Scott trying to heal himself after trying to cross the mountain ash." If Stiles sounded bossy and desperate...well the desperate part was making him bossy.

Sheriff Stilinski
"I don't know what I saw!" There had been a man hanging at the time, he was kind of busy.

Stiles Stilinski
"You saw something you can't explain." He understood that his father was confused, he did. But this was an emergency, he needed someone to believe him right away, just this once.

Sheriff Stilinski
"Stiles, I have seen a lot of things I can't explain in this town. That doesn't make them supernatural and it doesn't make them real," he snapped. "They just found another body. That's real. That's the lead I'm following."

Stiles Stilinski
"Dad, another teacher's going to die if you don't start listening to me!"

Sheriff Stilinski
"I am listening, I have been listening!" Sheriff Stilinski shouted, not noticing they were getting looks from others in the hallway.

Stiles Stilinski
Stiles noticed, and he felt ashamed to be yelled at by his father in public like this. Especially when Stiles was right.

"You just don't believe," Stiles said sadly as his father turned to leave. He was so disappointed and so frustrated that he brought up the one subject that he knew he should never touch on. "Mom would have believed me."

His father stepped dead in his tracks, but didn't turn around. Stiles felt bad, he did, but what he said was true. He knew his mom would have believed.

Stiles Stilinski
Stiles arrived at the school just as the recital was starting. It seemed like the entire school was there; Ms. Morrell, Chris, Allison, Isaac, the twins, Scott. There was just one important person missing.

"Where's Lydia?"

Scott McCall
"I don't know," Scott said, searching around. "She was just here. We've got to find her."

Stiles Stilinski
Scott and Stiles decided to try the outside of the school first, considering there should be no reason to wander around the school at night. Except for the fact everyone did it.

"Lydia!" Stiles shouted. "Lydia!"

He looked down at his phone. "You see anything, Scott? She's not answering her texts."

Scott McCall
Scott's eyes turned yellow, using the x-ray vision werewolves apparently had always had to look into the rooms. Nothing.

Then a piercing scream filled the air which had Scott groaning and putting his hands over his ears.

Stiles Stilinski
"What, what is it?" Stiles asked, not hearing anything. "Is it Lydia?"

Suddenly Scott was running off, heading back into the school. "Scott! Scott!"

Stiles took off after him, but lost Scott in the dark hallways of the school. Stupid werewolf speed. Stiles was forced to check all of the classrooms, looking into all of them one by one.

He stopped dead in his tracks when he looked into Ms. Blake's room and saw Lydia tied to a chair. She looked exhausted and was bleeding from her head. A garrote hung around her neck.

Jennifer Blake
Ms. Blake stepped into Stiles' field of vision, eyes flicking over to the side long enough to direct Stiles' attention to Sheriff Stilinski struggling on the ground. There was a knife sticking out of him, right into his chest.

Then, with a smile, Ms. Blake kicked a desk towards Stiles to block the door.

Stiles Stilinski
Oh he should have known. Fucking Derek and his horrible fucking taste in women.

"Dad!" Stiles shouted, doing his best to push the door open. "Please, stop!"

He couldn't hear what was happening in the room, but he could see Ms. Blake approach his father, her lips moving like she was giving some villain speech. She lifted him up by the knife in his chest and placed a kiss on his lips before shifting, turning into a scarred monster.

Stiles tried even harder to push the door open, putting all of his weight and energy into it. A huge crashing noise could be heard from inside the room, which gave Stiles the determination to move the desk out of the way enough for him to get into the room.

Lydia was still tied to the chair, and Scott was slowly getting up from the ground from where Ms. Blake presumably gave him a smack down, but that wasn't what Stiles was focused on. There was a huge hole in the wall leading to the outside. Jennifer was nowhere to be seen and neither was his father.

"Dad?"

Oh god this was not good.
